Kelly has no "syndicate".

There will never be a purely publically funded stadium.

TE should get a nice contract if he plays well.

Ellison shouldn't be starting on any team.

If TO has a great year, he will hold out for the first team that offers a dollar more than Buffalo.

Ralph Wilson has made it abundantly clear that he is not going to sell the team (not even to minority stake holders) while he is alive. He has clearly stated (very decisvely in his will) that the team will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Whether it goes to an outside the area purchasing group or not is not a concern to the deceased owner.

When Jim Kelly publicly talked about the prospective local ownership group he has assembled ready to buy the team he was strongly told to shut up. When Tom Golisano mused that he would be interested in buying the team to ensure that the team stayed in western NY he was told to mind his own business. When Ralph's much younger wife expressed an interest to have the team passed to her he PUBLICLY declared that that would not happen. You can imagine what the sugar daddy husband must have told his wife in private.

For those hoping that Ralph Wilson would do the right thing for the loyal fans by selling the team to a local group or any group which wants to stay in the region they are deluding themselves. The team is going to the highest bidder whether it is moved or not. His only concern is getting the highest price for his asset. Anyone who thinks otherwise should read his will. As Larry Felser, the retired writer from the Buffalo News who knows Wilson very well, stated that the most important words in his will for Bills' fans are: THE TEAM MUST BE SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER.:lol::worthy:

And I'm one of those delusionals. Bills fans are stuck in 7-9 purgatory until Ralph passes, then we hope Jim Kelly or Golisano can come through.

ah i finaly figured out how to use this. id say the chances of any of those happening are about as good as Tim Anderson stepping up wherever he is in the league (atlanta?) and becoming a dominating force and making the probowl and ultimately the hall of fame.

"There will never be a purely publically funded stadium."quote by WEO

Absolutely, there should not be a purely publically funded stadium. But that doesn't mean that a major stadium upgrade can't happen. But let's be realistic, the present wretched penny pinching senile owner of the team is not going to contribute a nickle of his own money to that endeavor. His only goal right now is to squeeze his asset dry before he meets his maker.

The Kansas Chiefs' ownership and local authorities have entered into a reasonable, fair and economically viable stadium upgrade which will allow their franchise to be competitive in the era of new stadia. It calls for a three year major renovation project during the offseason with the team contributing at least a third to the project, and the rest being funded by the local authorities through restaurant and hotel taxes.

How does their project relate to a prospective western NY project? Their stadium is very similar to the Ralph stadium. By renovating the stadium instead of starting from scratch you don't have to purchase another site and have to fight those interminable political and financial battles over a new location.

Would the present goof-ball owner of the Bills amenable to a similar project for the Bills? Of course not. Why spend an additional nickle when you play in a decaying facility which is nearly rent free? Whenever the topic of a new stadium comes up the decrepit owner goes ballistic. As much as he complains about money under the present circumstances he is doing very well for himslef. He will fight to his last breath to maintain the status quo.;):wallbash:

By the end of the 2009 season... here are 5 things you will see... (this would be alot better if the pictures worked!)

1. Keith Ellison will be signed to a 4 year 12 million dollar contract

Keith Ellison finished off the season with 85 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3 interceptions. After being thrown under the bus by Bills fan prior to the 2009 season, Keith Ellison is signed long term. The young LB core has filled the outside role that the Bills need.

2. T.O. signed a 2 year, 15 million dollar contract

After a successful season in Buffalo with 1250 yards and 9 TDs, Terrell Owens is the spotlight showstopper in Buffalo for another 2 years. Get your popcorn ready, Buffalo!

3. Jim Kelly first in line to purchase the Buffalo Bills

During the offseason of 2009, little did we know that Ralph and Jim have been working on a plan to keep the Bills legacy in Buffalo. Jim Kelly is first in line to purchase the Bills.

4. Rumors swirl and plans are set for new downtown Buffalo stadium

With Kelly first in line for Bills purchase - the gears are already being turned for a downtown stadium. Apparently Byron Brown has confirmed that the East Side of Buffalo has been completely demolished, which will be the new home for the construction site/ soon to be stadium.

5. Edwards finally gets his deal - 5 year 40 million dollar contract

After leading the team into the playoffs in 2009, Edwards has been rewarded with a brand new contract. His 3,634 yard 26 touchdown performance is just a sign of things to come for the Buffalo Bills quarterback. He is on top of the charts in fantasy league draft boards.

Of course its just make believe... ( and I'm at work with free time for the negative nancys! )

6. Doctors thaw the liquid nitrogen frozen carcass of Ralph Wilson, and he re-fires Bill Polian, busts Bernie Madoff out of jail to become the Bills Cheap Opportunity Officer, and schedules two Bills home games for Ashtabula Ohio and one in Erie, PA. Buffalonians rejoice knowing they can buy ersatz fireworks after the games.

the thawing proccess revealed
