mead107 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Remsen Falls, south of Old Forge. Part of the Middle Branch of the Moose River. Did you do it alone?
CowgirlsFan Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Remsen Falls, south of Old Forge. Part of the Middle Branch of the Moose River. What is the highest elevation in that area?
mead107 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 What is the highest elevation in that area? About 1200 feet, mountians around that area go higher.
Cugalabanza Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Why are there so many songs about rainbows?
Jim in Anchorage Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 No, there were 16 of us all together. Nothing like the solitude of the wilderness
boyst Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 So, just had cattlemens conference for the month. They're expecting up to 25% more development of this state by 2030. Eff. Mecklenberg will be at 97% developed in just 3 years, and that 3% undeveloped is undevelopable. “Burn down your cities and leave our farms, and your cities will spring up again as if by magic; but destroy our farms and the grass will grow in the streets of every city in the country.” William Jennings Bryan.
CowgirlsFan Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Why are there so many songs about rainbows? I don't have a clue. This sounds like you and your princess are already singing nursery rhymes. WOW....it is time for my "favorite" day of the week again!!
Beerball Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Got to love it, 55 outside now. Low 30's here, had a dusting of snow last night. Why are there so many songs about rainbows? Ask Jesse Jackson.
Just Jack Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Low 30's here, had a dusting of snow last night. I saw that on the news this morning. Are they calling it "Death Storm 2011"?
Beerball Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I saw that on the news this morning. Are they calling it "Death Storm 2011"? not yet! Last year the SB, this year the baseball winter meetings. Only saw one accident on the way to work. A Mustang was about 30-40 yards off the road just past a bridge. I guess the driver didn't realize that bridges freeze before roadways. They should consider putting up signs about that to warn people.
BuffaloBill Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 33 here. Better warm up next week - headed to big D and will be driving car back home to Knoxville.
GoodBye Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 It's flipping freezing here! Bring back the warmer weather!
Just Jack Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 What is the highest elevation in that area? The highest we hit on the trail was a little over 1800'.
CowgirlsFan Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Time sure does fly!! Another Happy Hump Day to all!! Better warm up next week - headed to big D and will be driving car back home to Knoxville. I wouldn't worry about the cold. I'd worry about ice/snow on the way back.
