/dev/null Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 sorry Saddam, but I win by keeping Kenny in a coma, while attacking heaven Did Dr Mephisto let you out of your cage again? If he keeps letting you out of your cage, he'll never be able to genetically engineer a moron with provolone cheese. So that world will never again have to look in two places for morons and provolone cheese
/dev/null Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 What's all this now? If you have to ask...
Booster4324 Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 What's all this now? Memory starting to slip? Or is that self induced?
GoodBye Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I don't know. Retire also means to go to bed. Nope, not what I meant.
/dev/null Posted July 18, 2009 Author Posted July 18, 2009 Nope, not what I meant. you're such a tease
Booster4324 Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Huh? what did you say?? So are you really quitting?
DC Tom Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Scrimshanker? Some might agree with that. Scrimshawer? Never! What do you have against scrimshaw?
The Dean Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 What do you have against scrimshaw? A whale ate my uncle Joe! Seriously, I have nothing against scrimshaw, except for maybe the word "scrimshaw". Not big on bric-a-brac, either. This all came about when I lived in the Boston area, and we would take drives to towns like Marblehead and Gloucester. The ubiquitous signs for "Scrimshaw" and the wasted space of shops hawking bric-a-brac, served as noise, as I diligently tried to spot the next bar.
ExiledInIllinois Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I don't know. Retire also means to go to bed. Also: Remember when "making love" had nothing to do with sex? I used to get so embarresed when my father uses the old expression... He was such a flirt with say female cashiers... And would always say: What? I am just making love!
The Dean Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Also: Remember when "making love" had nothing to do with sex? Um...no. I used to get so embarresed when my father uses the old expression... He was such a flirt with say female cashiers... And would always say:What? I am just making love!
Steely Dan Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Huh? what did you say?? I'm sorry what? losersayswhat.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I'm sorry what? losersayswhat. Move over bacon, here comes something leaner.
ExiledInIllinois Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Um...no. Of course he used it more loosely. GoogleAnswers "From its earliest use in the 16c. the phrase to make love (often followed by to) meant simply 'to pay amorous attention (to)'. At some point in the mid-20c. it came to have only the restricted and very precise meaning 'to have sexual intercourse (with)', and the older meaning was forced out."
