After reading this article, man do I miss the glory days. Obviously the only thing that we did not do during this time was WIN the Superbowl, but other than that, those teams were awesome and just REALLY FUN to watch. Also, during that time, our front office looked absolutely brilliant. They drafted REALLY well, made great trades (c.bennett) and signed key free agents (j.lofton) during that time. If you look at our roster, the main players all came from GREAT DRAFTS! Man, I wish we won the superbowl!

Lets hope that the NO-HUDDLE and a revitalized Offense can make this season an interesting one-

GO BILLS!!

Actually the glory days started in 1988 not 1989. They had a better season in 1988, winning the first division in years and getting to the AFC Championship before losing to the Bungals.

The old time Bills fans ( I was a big fan starting in 1968) appreciate the glory days starting in 1988 because the team had seen so little success until then. Yes there were the two AFL Championships.

But before the glory years the Bills had only 11 winning seasons in their first 28 years.

We remember the drought from 1967 to 1972 when our beloved Bills were 17-64-4 for a .209 winning percentage.

We remember the drought from 1976-1978 when we went 10-34 for a .227 winning percentage.

And most of us remember the drought from 1984 to 1986 when we went 8-40 for a .166 winning percentage.

In the first 28 years of the franchise, the Bills had 12 epically bad years where they accumulated a record of 35-138-4 for a winning percentage of .219.

Long live Ralph.

I agree with you, the whole period of 1988 to 1993 was amazing, but I particularly remember 1988 because as long as I have been a Bills fan (early 1970's) it was the first dominating season we had had. We had some minor success in the 1980's under Chuck Knox but in 1988 it all just clicked and it was a new experience for Bills fans.
