We don't really know the details here. My guess is more may come out later on.

 

Will he leave the country? Is the money stashed somewhere? Or did he really not have it?

 

Greed is a tremendously powerful thing.

So is hate. It may have been less about keeping all the money and more about not letting his ex have anything.

Divorce can be a nasty thing.

 

I agree 100%. I will not handle divorces in my law practice b/c of my Christian beliefs, but something like 45% of marriages between Christians end in divorce.

 

And those may be the saddest words I've ever typed.

count me among those 45%. Sadly my ex and I just couldn't/didn't make it work. Thankfully, our split did not involve any lawyers other than them giving her the uncontested divorce papers, we signed it, turned them in. No custody battles, no money battles..couple weeks later the divorce was official and she and I are friends but not married....wish it 'didnt' have to happen, but its behind us now...
