Such football legends like Jim Kelly, Willie Lanier, Art Monk, Warren Moon and Mel Blount have joined Bob Papa and Randy Cross on the show. If you’ve listened, you heard some great football stories. You also learned firsthand what it means to be on stage in Canton and having your bust unveiled. We now ramp up the countdown to this year’s enshrinement ceremony. From now through the end of July, members from the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2009 will be the weekly guests. Listen to hear great stories and also what each one is feeling as he moves closer to football immortality! Since the NFL was founded in Canton in1920 more than 20,000 players have played this game, hundreds have served as head coaches, and countless others have contributed in various other aspects. kota Posted July 10, 2009 Share Posted July 10, 2009 I caught the Tail End to it. Ralph sounded good and was very gracious towards the hosts. He was also very candid. The hosts asked how he managed to not meddle to much with the players/coaches. He asked about the 90's Bills. His take on TO. Ralph said he was a model citizen and that he was suprised they managed to get him. He was happy to have a big/tall receiver of his caliber. They also asked how he came to select Berman. Ralph said he was happy Berman excepted because he could have said no. Ralph didn't give a good explanation as to why. He just said he thought Berman would do a good job for him. He said if anyone had something nice to say about him Berman would. The Hosts Randy Cross and Bob Papa were very cordial to him. Called him Mr. Wilson. They seemed honored to have him on this show. They did mention that Ralph told him it was Ralph Wilson who originally started the talks for the Merger a year before Lamar Hunt finished the deal. They also spoke about how much of a impact had on the merger. They even spoke about how Ralph shelled out money to another club to keep them alive. They didn't mention who but i think everyone knows it was Al Davis. I don't understand why it took so long for Ralph to get into the HOF. He's clearly a pionieer of todays game.
