We dont need anymore O line players...we are deep now. If the staff didnt feel Walker could handle LT one of the dozens of options to fill that hole would have been taken.

Seriously, the only people worried about the LT position is this board.

Yeah, this board and virtually everybody else in the league. There's not a pundit out there who doesn't have LT as a probable weakness.

And the problem with the dozens of options to fill that hole is that none of them were any good after Jason Smith got drafted early.

The only ones NOT worried are the Bills brass, and it's their job to not publicly admit weaknesses. What are they going to say? "Well, we just don't have any confidence in Walker against speed rushers. But on the other hand, everybody else we could have gotten was even worse, so Walker was simply the best out of many lousy options. We are already planning on keeping TEs and RBs in to help out, which will of course allow the defenses to rush another guy to counter that. What can we say, we're going to be scrambling all year to cover up this problem." That's not how coaches who expect to keep their jobs talk.

There were lots of options to fill LT if we needed it...to name a few, Pace, Thomas, Jones, etc etc...if they felt it was as big a need as you do, then one of those guys at least would have came in for a visit.

Second, the so called punidts are sports writers who probably know less about our O Line situation then this board. In fact, I can assure you most sports writers are as name drvien as every casual fan when it comes to the OL because its a position that gets no media or television coverage in game, so all they know is that we traded a young 2 time Pro Bowl LT. So the obvious assumption is that we now need an LT.

The only people who TRULY know anything about our players like Bell, Walker, our rookies, etc. are the guys out on the field and our staff. They clearly feel very good about our group of guys ability to handle the LT position, so I could care less what some sports column, team prediction, or message board says.
