Brad Butler? I'm mystified as to what physical qualities Brad Butler has that would suggest anything but the worst starting RT in the NFL, he is stiff, slow, and lacks lower body strength- Walker at LT and Butler at RT has to give the Bills a place in the bottom 3 for NFL team's starting OTs. If you disagree give me three worst starting OT pairs.

I don't know about him being stiff and slow. While he was at guard I didn't see any signs of him being a stiff player or slow. I could be wrong but I don't see him being a bad RT. So while I don't see Butler as a great RT I think he could be a solid guy at the position.

As far as a bottom tackle pair you might be right about that but I think that its more a product of Butler adjusting to a new position and Walker not only shifting over but that he might be too slow to handle the better pass rushers. Over the long haul I think Butler will be a solid RT and Walker won't be the LT either Bell or someone else will take over the position.

I don't know about Brooks being an upgrade. Living here in Orlando I saw him at training camp, as well as a lot during the season. He is a shadow of what he was.

which means he is only 2 or 3 times better than Ellison right now.

He is 6'7" and 315. Good size for a tackle.

If Walker is just a stop gap at LT, and I don't think a very good one, then why not bring in Jones once he's healthy as our stop gap?

Disclaimer: This assumes Jones gets healthy and passes a physical.

Because he hasn't been able to stay healthy, and giant lineman with knee problems aren't a great investment once they hit 30.
