ExiledInIllinois Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I heard they have been spotted near St. Louis on the MS in the past then I saw this in the article: "They have been captured in St. Louis. They have traveled 2500 miles up the Amazon. They have some mechanism in their make-up that allows them to process freshwater and not require high salinity to live." It may seem hard to believe that in the deep swamp of Louisiana bull sharks, one of the most dangerous species of shark, are swimming in the swamp. Isn't just a matter of evolution and manny (1,000s) of years before they are frimly entrenced in freshwater... Of course the food source will have to be there.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Hypnotoad better not go hoppin' 'round the Atchafalaya swamp.
