Dante Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Hope it's not too long. Reinforces why the US is here and how great the founding fathers were. Our current government has too many similarities to the British one way back then http://www.aier.org/research/commentaries/...-big-government
Kelly the Dog Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Nothing to do with your post/article, which I found amusing, but this was pretty cool I thought. They just found one of the original 200 copies of the Declaration of Independence that were printed, this week in Great Britain. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...7.DTL&tsp=1
KD in CA Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Nothing to do with your post/article, which I found amusing, but this was pretty cool I thought. They just found one of the original 200 copies of the Declaration of Independence that were printed, this week in Great Britain. Pretty cool, but I don't get this quote: National Archives officials said they weren't sure how the Declaration of Independence copy ended up there. Didn't we ship a couple copies over there? You know, just to let them know? My boss is going to London for the long weekend. I told him to make sure to ask as many people as possible about where they could see fireworks.
/dev/null Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Another good read this 4th of July is the actual Declaration of Independence http://www.ushistory.org/Declaration/document/index.htm
