ieatcrayonz Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I was labeled "a racist" last week (on the mainTSW board)after offering my opinion of Travis Henry's salute to fatherhood. I don't think anyone can argue that he's an irresponsible douche, and somehow, my opinion got turned into me being a racist. Not a word in my post about color, race, ethnenticity, etc. - yet someone drew that conclusion. I guess anyone of a minoritiy persuasion is off-limits for criticism. Needless to say, the thread was deleted. I didn't read your Travis Henry post but will take your word for it and agree. That kind of stuff happens a lot. Criticizing Travis Henry is criticizing Travis Henry. He deserves it. It has nothing to do with race. Making some robots in a movie sound "ethnic" is a whole other story. There is no reason for it at all. It is especially offensive when a white man is used to portray a black man a la Al Jarreau. The Jarreau era is a painful one to remember for many black americans and to purposely re-ignite it for movie buzz is not cool.
