Steely Dan Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Well we finally named him before our vet visit! We decided to go with Buzzy! We really wanted to use Diogi, but it just doesn't flow off the tongue. Plus, he never responded a single time to that name. He seemed to like Loki and Buzzy equally well, so we decided to go with Buzzy. Just got back from the vet and he has a clean bill of health (after he loses 2 pounds to get down to 20). Link I don't remember any damn Bills named Buzzy!! Cats do not answer to names. A tisking noise suffices. I give the name Kitty to the vets, but it allows for you to rename the cat a lot. For examples, when our last cat was very young, she could jump way more than most cats. This equaled out though, as she had about my sense of balance. So she would jump from the desk to the top of the door and promptly fall off. Jump to the top of the refrigerator, get alarmed by the bread basket that was in the same location every time and fall off sliding down the side of the refrigerator, claws flailing in every direction. Her name during that period was "Grace". Later, she calmed down in the jumping, but it seems we made a mistake by talking to the cat. We would be drunk and make "cat noises" at her and she would reply. It seemed cute at the time, however she became more and more vocal after this. If she wanted food (even if there was food in the bowl) she would meow at you constantly. I remember telling a cocktail at the casino I worked at, "Yeah, we named the cat after you." She replied, "awwww how sweet." I said, "Yeah, Melanie seemed appropriate as she is really cute, but bitches all the time." Her current name is Fido as she is fat and tolerates you petting her like a dog. I had a cat, hand to God, that could jump straight up and get his hind feet over my head. I'm 5'5". He was athletic as hell. By far the best cat I've ever owned. He was just such a great cat. A phenomenal hunter too.

VABills Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 How's about Sony or PS3? That way when you kick it you'll feel it deserved it.
John from Riverside Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 My wife's been wanting a dog for a few years, but I've kept putting it off and putting it off. The main reason was that she was still getting her MBA and not getting home until late at night, and I didn't want to take care of a dog (already have a couple of cats). Today she stopped at the humane society and saw a dog that she fell in love with. As soon as I got home, she insisted that we go look at him. Well, how could I say no to either of them? So we adopted a 2 year old stray puppy. He's half Bichon Frise and half mutt, weighs about 22 pounds, and has apparently done some obedience training as he responds to "sit" and "drop." He's very well mannered (so far - he's only been home for 3 hours... ). Now to introduce him to the two cats... Anyway, here's his picture. Just wanted to share - and if anyone has a good name, fire away. http://www.fezam.com/puppy.jpg I tend to give my dogs names of the mythical gods.....Samson, Hercules, Apollo None of them seem to fit here.....
Fezmid Posted June 28, 2009 Author Posted June 28, 2009 I tend to give my dogs names of the mythical gods.....Samson, Hercules, Apollo None of them seem to fit here..... Like I said, Loki made it to the final two... But lost out to Buzzy (mainly because a friend of mine uses Loki as his online name, and I didn't want him thinking the dog was named after him )

By far the best cat I've ever owned. He was just such a great cat. A phenomenal hunter too. The family insisted we get a new kitten... The little devil is about 3 months old... We were fearing for it from the old cat that is 13 years old. After I saw the kitten jump off the balcony that is 8 feet high and not have a care in the world... I don't worry that much for the gatito, it can handle itself. Oh, Fez... Congrats! When you put the list out, I would have said Buzzy.

I still don't recall any Bills named "Buzzy"
