Any way you look at it, it's bizarre behavior by an elected official, especially since he doesn't delegate powers when he disappears.

Yeah that's gotta be it. Job abandonment by an elected official is merely a secondary story. Astute political followers will remember Sanford as the grandstanding clown who wanted to turn down the stimulus money his state would recieve, hopefully we can assume he paid for the cruise out of pocket.

Why Argentina? He never checked in with the American Consulate. Supposedly all Governors visiting a foreign country should/or must do that. Not sure which. Argentina just seems like a very peculiar place to go.

Gee...who is a major political figure in Atlanta that has bided his time in preparation the past 2 decades, waiting for the eventual collapse of his country that he New....I mean knew was coming? Who in Georgia embodies almost the exact opposite of the current administration, and isn't afraid to go after Republicans when they don't stay on task. It's getting close folks.
