GG
As long as the wife he left home doesnt have terminal cancer hes still a step above southern Democrats. No, the wife was vacationing at the beach. Any way you look at it, it's bizarre behavior by an elected official, especially since he doesn't delegate powers when he disappears.

But this thread isn't about bizarre behavior by an elected official. This thread is about Republicans being bad, bad, evil people.

Booster4324
I'd bet a lot that during his presser at 2 we are going to hear about a nameless female companion that took off with Sanford. Id almost be shocked if there wasnt one. ] That is assuming it was a female companion. He is a Republican after all... Sorry, couldn't resist. Yeah that's gotta be it. Job abandonment by an elected official is merely a secondary story. Astute political followers will remember Sanford as the grandstanding clown who wanted to turn down the stimulus money his state would recieve, hopefully we can assume he paid for the cruise out of pocket. Steely Dan
Argentina. What an ass, even by southern Republican standards. Who gives a flying frig about what party he is? It's just a very bizarre story. Why Argentina? He never checked in with the American Consulate. Supposedly all Governors visiting a foreign country should/or must do that. Not sure which. Argentina just seems like a very peculiar place to go.
