Reed83HOF Posted June 21, 2009 Author Posted June 21, 2009 I was in Ukraine for the Orangee Revolution. Takes a lot of guts to go out on the streets against armed police, army and militia. Unfortunately the general rule is a tremendously violent reaction and arresting or exiling of leaders and back to business as usual. Its about power more than religion. Still..every once in a while the good guys win one. The question was out there... "is this a Tiananmen Square or not..." What is interesting is that the ranking clerics are starting to take sides...and Mousavi is willing to enter into martyrdom... They seem to be ok with the basis of their Islam based gov't, but they are not happy about rigged elections and the abuse of power by the Ayatollah and Council..,
