Agreed......at this point you pretty much have your team that you are going into the season with.......with the exception of possibly Derrick Brooks at OLB for veteran insurance.......

You keep a close eye on the situation at LT.......I did the bills did absolutely the right thing in trading Peters as I fully believe he would have held out, then took forever rounding into "playing shape"

BUT

Langston Walker was a fine RT who is being forced into duty at LT.......our new/old scout picked up from the Chargers should be put in charge of looking over the other NFL teams for a young promising LT type and you pull the trigger on a trade for either draft picks or a veteran player.....

If Langston shows the inability to control the speed edge rushers even with a back or TE to help on a consistant basis then we MUST make a move.......If Edwards goes down I think our offensive goose is pretty well cooked for this year.

Other then that.......we have our team. Now NEXT offseason is when I would start making real changes.

Excellent post. I fully agree, especially with Bud Nix being put in charge of scouting out a possible replacement for Walker. If we could land a good LT - which is not to exclude Bell from being a possibility - then having Walker at RT would give us a very nice looking line. Also, I agree that we will pursue someone next month if Walker doesn't show the ability to handle our own DE's. Regardless, I think we need another proven talent at LT, because the odds are good that Walker will go down sooner or later for at least a game, and, again, I agree that if Trent goes down our season is probably over.

Nice.

Skooby,

I would sign T.O. to a 3 year extention at 3years & 15 million & a signing bonus of 5 million. I would then Look at our scouting dept and find out what has happened the last 8 years. I would hire Dick Lambeu, as a Defensive consultant away from the Steelers. I would also hire a new conditioning specialist, the trainer who developed P90X. I would attempt to increase the amount of draft picks to build the Off/def lines for the future. The Offensive system of the K-gun would be installed with the hiring of Mike Martz as the O.C. and keep him in check. I would hire Greg Gabriel from the Bears as an assistant of Football Operations. Russ would go back to the Marketing dept. I would Keep D.J. for some stability for now. i would have also hire Ken Hull to coach the offensive line , strictly.

So...much...idiocy...in....one...post...

I would try to acquire a pass rusher and OT and if I can't get one...I'll leave the team alone. Then I will tell Dick that he has until the bye week and if the team isn't 4-4 or better, he's gone. I would then promote Bobby April to interim Head Coach.

Trade the whole team (Except Hamden) for Ben Rothlisberger & Hines Ward. Then we are set at QB and in pretty much the same shape with the rest of the team.

Fire Jauron and replace him with Skeletor from He Man. At least he laughs, plus they are dopplegangers.

What is the first move you make to improve the Bills ??

I bring in a couple friends of mine from North B-lo and coerce a resignation out of that whinny, spineless, incompetent, groveling, emotionless, weak, gutless, nut less, cowardly, yellow-bellied, lily-livered, lifeless, unresponsive, timid, feeble, frail, helpless, hopeless, namby-pamby, wishy-washy, ineffective, inefficient, undemonstrative, apathetic, soft, lame, disappointing, failure of head coach!

Amen. Hallelujah, pass the Tylenol. ;);)

Just put some fudge out in the hallway by their locker room, they'll be out there within minutes.

I'd convice Ralph to sell the team at a discount to a consortium led by Jim Kelly, initiate the process to build a waterfront stadium in downtown, and ensure the team stays in buffalo forever. Ralph doesnt need the money, and it could be his final gift to the city of Buffalo.

Not for the type of money those guys make.....at least not me....;)

Dont forget, this is the buffalo job. Were not talking normal NFL salaries here.

I sign Lauvale Sape to a 8 year 56 million dollar contract.

I force the players to practice outdoors. In the summer I buy the snow making machines from Kissing Bridge.

I teach em to get so angry after losses that they throw chairs.

I sign every player that is released ON THE CHEAP.

I trade our next 15 draft picks for thr rights of Mike Williams and bring back Rob Johnson to QB.

Any former player that was decent becomes the position coach at his position.

Instead of film. I ask the players to watch highlights of my personal madden games prior to playing the team. That way they will see how to beat the other team.

I call Skooby's BMW friends before any move allowing him to leak it to this board.

I hire a marketting team to start the Bills campaign of that makes a remake of the twister sister song COME ON FEEL THE CHROISE!!

This song will be played after every TD.

I train players to chew out the coaching staff publically. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE PRESS CONFERENCES!!

Well there isn't much to do at this point in time as far as big roster moves go. So I would just sit back and collect the big checks. But seriously if I was to magically swap bodies with the GM of the Bills I would look to get a DE and a LB. Derrick Brooks but I doubt he is going to choose the Bills over retirement sadly. If Brooks is a no go than I just wait till June cuts and wait and see if there isn't anyone out there who might be cut and worth while.

As far as DE would go I would use the Supplemental draft to grab the kid out of Kentucky for a six round pick seeing as we have two due to the Peters trade. I think that Jeremy Jarmon would have been a third or fourth round pick had he gone out next year so if I can grab him for a sixth and try and sneak him into a rotational role and have him as depth for Schobel than why not.

As for any long term moves I would just wait and see how this season turns out. As far as left tackle its Walker all the way this year with Bell or Chambers as the backup. If Walker can't handle the speed rushers I just put in Bell and let him get experience because if Walker doesn't work out odds are we don't have a good record by the time Walker is officially a bust at LT. Who knows maybe Bell is a guy who just needed a chance?

Is that how Ralph gets GM's to work for them....he offers them a phone? With my official Buffalo Bills GM phone, I would call the Jags and make the trade for Henderson today. In my second call or round of calls, I would find a veteran strong side backer to at the very lest compete for and add depth to that sorry position. Finally, I would call every coach and player on the team, and tell them to have fun and relax during their little summer vacation, because if they don't at least tie for the last playoff spot in the AFC and lose in a tie-breaker this season, the entire team will be nuked and we will start from scratch in 2010.

Only one move is necessary.

Immediately change the uniforms to the retros and host a bon fire at The Ralph to burn all remnants of the clown uniforms they've been forced to wear during this pathetic period of Bills history.

You can't expect professional athletes to perform their best when they're wearing the design equivalent of tutus.
