Clearly, getting slammed must have skipped a day since...you know...he practiced fine yesterday. You'd figure if he was being held out because of an "off-the-field incident" on Saturday, they would have held him out on Monday...

Grammar season sucks.

Technically, you don't have a verb in the highlighted sentence, as the word "demonstrate" is part of a noun phrase that is the direct object. Take your post back to your desk, and try harder. :(

then maybe you need to try using a different browser, since it's pretty lame that Firefox's spellchecker misspelled "grammar"...

what's lamer still is that you consider spellchecker a word.

The verb is "is".
