Hey man, the media's only as dignified as its readers. That's why most major newspapers are written at a 5th-9th grade level.

The local media so far likes T.O. it's the national media I think that tend to oversight. With the exception of some ESPN division reporters..

I'm thrilled and have high expectations. It seems like the first year of acting good is really showing already, he shows up every day (several veterans who aren't even a lock to make the team, have missed some days), saying all the right things, making plays.

Could not think of a better start than this.

Take a suite in the Hyatt, be done with it, who cares where he lives?

Guess it hasn't occurred to you that the source feeding "the media" about TO's enthralling saga searching for temporary housing is none other than TO himself.

Seems even Jerry Jones couldn't clearly state why he thought T.O. was disruptive to team chemistry( or locker room harmony) and wade Phillips practically sounds disappointed that T.O. is gone. Plus, both of them are still so fascinated with T.O. they are keeping up with all of his latest adventures.

My personal guess is T.O. may have a little dirt on the Dallas Cowboys (and or Jerry Jones), but Jerry Jones also has a little dirt on T.O. so he's watching T.O.'s comments closely, why else go out of your way to let the public and T.O. know he's listening to everything T.O. says.

Of course I'm always looking for underlying motives and hidden agenda's

If you go nationally and tried comparing the positive posts or reports on T.O. over the last decade to the negative ones, its a small drop of positive in an endless river of negativity.

And most everyone here agreed with those negative assesments, until March 9th, 2009...what I have been saying all along, to those all giddy about the national attention that TO will bring to the Bills, most of it will be negative attention, about Terrell Owens, the NFL star, who happens to play in Buffalo this year. The whole key to the city ceremony, the Beatlemania at the airport, and now, this trivial story about Owens not being welcomed in Orchard Park, have all been spun as negative attention for the city of Buffalo...just yesterday, the local sports guy here in Austin, were discussig TO's housing situation, and inferred that Buffalo is just another one of those racist cities up North, that doesn't get the kind of bad rap that a Southern city would get...

Of course, I, and you, all know, this is complete crap, but that is how things spiral out of control when it comes to Owens. Whether it is his fault, or the media's, that is the game you get with him. Buffalo is being portrayed as a very desperate, small minded city...it will be interesting to see how this housing thing is portrayed on Owens tv show...

Aw, how cute! Jerry Jones misses TO and is keeping tabs on him.

As for the housing flap, the owners didn't deny TO's account, while the agent did. Ooops, better get your stories straight, Deer Runners. No wonder you can't sell the property, or even rent it.

How much you wanna bet Owens has a killer year in Buffalo and re-signs with the Cowboys?

I'll bet you whatever you want. No way TO wants to play with Romo again. And if he has a killer year, the Bills will franchise him and either keep him or send him wherever they get the best deal.

one question:

how can the coverage of the latest house-hunting tweet be considered as negative?

t.o. tweeted something. several boards, including this one, picked up on it, and that was followed up by the media.

owens then didn't hide from what he posted, or duck questions about it.

and he didn't really pop off on anyone on the bills or buffalo for that matter, simply taking an amusing dig or two at the real estate agent.

and yet this is somehow considered "negative" coverage?

T.O. gets a key to the City and then gets turned down to rent a house because of the possible drama that could go along with it, now I'm not one to pay allot of attention to the national media, but I can only imagine the type of spin that gets put on things of this nature, especially when its involving T.O.

You're wasting your time scratching your head over this gropu, JW. GG is right--it is a dep seated sense of inferiority that prevents a lot of these guys from just dealing with reality and instead forces them to into a fantasy world where everyone is out to get them (and the Bills), the media hates them (and the Bills) and anyone who points out the obvious and the real is not a real fan.
