RayFinkle Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 LINKY Buffalo Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. has picked ESPN broadcaster Chris Berman to be his presenter for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Berman has been known as a Bills booster since the late 1980s. He picked the Bills to make the Super Bowl almost every year in the 1990s. And he popularized the phrase, ?nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.?
Captain Quint Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Awesome choice. You know the speech will be entertaining, but sincere.
todd Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 That will be awesome. I guess we know who the cab driver is now. :-) LINKY
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Just one more reason to watch the ceremonies, great choice!
buffaloaggie Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 LINKY Double duty for Berman. Should be fun to be in Canton that weekend!
wonderbread Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I can just hear it now...CB will say that "Ralph has been with the AFL/NFL since way back, back, back, back."
Guest dog14787 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Awesome choice. You know the speech will be entertaining, but sincere. The perfect choice.
GG Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 That will be awesome. I guess we know who the cab driver is now. :-) Berman posthumously revealed it was Butler
metzelaars_lives Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I look at everything in terms of does this help/hurt our chancs of staying in Buffalo and I think this certainly cannot hurt. To have a guy of Berman's stature that truly understands and appreciates Bills Nation on our side is always good.
rpcolosi Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 LINKY if ralph could only hit a home run like this when it comes to our current GM...
damj Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 LINKY How cool is that! Awesome choice ... glad I'll be there!
eSJayDee Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Somewhat surprising choice to me. I'm happy w/ it. Sounds morbid/callous, but I suspect there's one or more he'd rather have, but they're all dead.
Buftex Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 So, how come everyone hated Bruce choosing Ted Cottrell, but everyone loves Ralph choosing Berman? Or maybe they just hate Bruce? I thought Berman/ESPN were the devil around here... I think both Bruce and Ralph made fine choices...
The Senator Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 So, how come everyone hated Bruce choosing Ted Cottrell, but everyone loves Ralph choosing Berman? Or maybe they just hate Bruce? I thought Berman/ESPN were the devil around here... I think both Bruce and Ralph made fine choices... Huh? Who hated Bruce choosing Cottrell?
BillsPride12 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 So, how come everyone hated Bruce choosing Ted Cottrell, but everyone loves Ralph choosing Berman? Or maybe they just hate Bruce? I thought Berman/ESPN were the devil around here... I think both Bruce and Ralph made fine choices... I still would've liked Bruce to keep the tradition going and had Marv present him, but I cannot complain if Ted Cottrel is who Bruce wanted, as for Berman that is suprising to say the least but should make for an interesting speech, looking forward to being there
