Alphadawg7 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 git r done brandon http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4215277 Most interesting thing in the article is that they said they are looking at former Bills #1 pick Mike Williams at RT...wow, he may end up a starter come opening day...
BillsFanForever19 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 "A second-round choice from the 1999 draft, Jansen started 123 games for the Redskins. He was considered an anchor at right tackle, but injuries and age apparently caught up to him." "The team tried to talk him into retiring Friday" Yes, please, get it done
BUFFALOTONE Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 This Mook cant stay healthy. Lets roll with Langston and see where it goes.
Fingon Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 Most interesting thing in the article is that they said they are looking at former Bills #1 pick Mike Williams at RT...wow, he may end up a starter come opening day... I guess the fat tub of sh-- ran out of money, so he is finally motivated.
Fingon Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 IIRc, he's been banged up the past few seasons. I guess he was judged a no-go during the WAS OTAs...dunno. Obviously, any deal depends on the physical, but the guy would be a damn good insurance policy. (if he is healthy) PFT says the skins cut him because he was due a roster bonus.
GOBILLS78 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 My grandmothers have better knees. And they're both dead.
Fingon Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 He's a Wolverine. Sign him! Oh God... i forgot... My father is a Michigan Law grad and i never hear anything but bragging about their history and good NFL players.
Band of Merriman Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 IMO Levi Jones would be the better option. He's had "health issues" too, but he's younger and has more tread on the tires.
el Tigre Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Oh God... i forgot... My father is a Michigan Law grad and i never hear anything but bragging about their history and good NFL players. GO BLUE!!!!
Fingon Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 IMO Levi Jones would be the better option. He's had "health issues" too, but he's younger and has more tread on the tires. Levi would want to start, while Jansen could come in and be a veteran backup at RT.(or even start over Butler)

offde-fence Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 How many O-linemen should we look to keep - I'm not sure how many we usually have room for on the roster... but, at this point, if the money is right... competition is never a bad thing, and we need depth, considering our starters.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Most interesting thing in the article is that they said they are looking at former Bills #1 pick Mike Williams at RT...wow, he may end up a starter come opening day... Mike Williams is still out there?? Russ, git r done!!
Billy in 4C Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I guess the fat tub of sh-- ran out of money, so he is finally motivated. Perfect. That pretty much sums up his career
San Jose Bills Fan Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Jon Jansen=Jon Runyon (Formerly excellent players. Michigan Wolverines. Mauling-type tackles. Their knees combined have less cartilage than my pinkie)
atlbillsfan1975 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Levi would want to start, while Jansen could come in and be a veteran backup at RT.(or even start over Butler) If Jansen starts over Butler then the Bills really would be screwed. Butler will probably be the best Olineman on the team THIS year. With Woods developing while starting.
