ICE Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Damn. I think Mark May sumed it up well. Great teams on the way to a championship have these tough/ close games. Teams like OU and USC (See yesterdays game, and against Cal and Stanford) find a way to win them. My only problem with the BCS coming up is this....IF Auburn and OU win out including their Conf Champs....It should be them playing...not USC. USC has had an easier sched than both OU and Auburn (Ou vs 3 top 25 teams and UA in the SEC) But hey, it's all about the voters instead
Indy Dave Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 USC has beaten three ranked teams-- Virginia Tech, which might win the ACC (nothing to sneeze at these days); Arizona State; and California, which some experts argue is better than anyone except USC. USC, Cal, Oklahoma, Auburn, Wisconsin, Michigan, Texas, Utah, and Georgia are all outstanding teams.
CajunBillsBacker Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 You know as well as I do that when the BCS made their changes because of what happened last season, that they had one motive in mind... "What can we do to ensure USC gets to the NC game this year?" They will be in the Orange Bowl, nothing Auburn or OU can do about it except fight for the other position. Oh well, we got our NC last season, i'm pulling for you guys to get yours this year.

Well damn my bad. I agree bro USC IS A hell of a football team, but their schedule looks like they play the big 12 north all season LOL!!! BTW...what the hell happened to the B12 North? I think BAYLOR could win that LOL!

I think I heard yesterday that Iowa State is now in control of their own destiny with regards to representing that division in the Big 12 championship game. That's sad. OU, OSU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech...all WAY better than anyone in the north. I hope that Wisconsin, Oklahoma, USC, Auburn, Utah and Boise St. all remain undefeated, just so there is more public outcry against the BCS.
Guest Guest_eyedog_* Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 They should make OU and Texas play again for the Big-12 Championship the North winner will be a warmup game for OU. After watching games yesterday I came to another conclusion, Penn State flat out sucks and Paterno has to go NOW.

They are good no doubt, but we just have that teams number. Will they ever beat OU? Sure they will, but for now.... I agree, Iowa St? Good lord, the East coast writers had an issue with OU putting 77 on A and M last year? Wait until the B12 championship

They're just a North Carolina/Miami-like performance away from not even being in contention. Their offense is rock solid, but they won't win the national championship with a defense that has all the talent in the world (I really like their linebacker, Clint Ingram; that guy is all over the field!!) that can't string together 4 consistent quarters of football. JoePa does have the right to leave on his own terms, I just hope he does right by the university. PSU has a great defense and absolutely nothing else. The offensive line is erratic, the play from the QB position is nowhere near what it should be (here's to hoping they give Morelli a few starts to see what he can do), the WRs just cannot catch the damn ball, and the special teams are not even close to being special.

We have Nebraska at home then Baylor. Then most likely Iowa st . We will have a couple weeks to prepare for whomever we play.
