billsfreak Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Darryl Talley was not as good a football player as John Taylor. You are so far wrong on that statement, that if it were any more wrong you would be arrested. John Taylor was only as good as he was because Jerry Rice was on the other side. He was comparable to Alvin Harper of the Cowboys, who when he got the chance to become a starter and get starter's money, he sucked it up in Tampa. Or Peerless Price right here in Buffalo, he was only that good because Moulds was opposite him.
tennesseeboy Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Bills underrated? Gotta say Butler, Frank Lewis, Bobby Chandler and JD Hill. I think Ernie Warlick gets overlooked although he was a tight end. None of these guys are hall of fame material, but good receivers we don't hear enough about.
Cornerville Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Irving Fryar: 11th all time in receptions and barely ever mentioned And a strange one as a underrated 'receiver;" Larry Centers, who is 12th all-time in receptions

Alphadawg7 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Andre Johnson How is he underrated? Just about every poll of the top 10 recievers in the league right now always have him in top 2...

zazie Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Again, poor Willie Gault. Most under-rated both in real life and on this thread too. He was so fast and silky smooth, loved to watch him play. More fun than Larry Centers, thats for sure.
KRT88 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 1.John Taylor2.Jerry Butler 8.Bobby Chandler help me fill in the blanks I always thought frank Lewis was underrated.
