HurlyBurly51 Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I believe it was in 1980 - who was that? And is there a link that documents who it was?
BuffaloPride Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I believe it was in 1980 - who was that? And is there a link that documents who it was? I think it was Reggie Mckenzie.
ChevyVanMiller Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I'm pretty sure it was LDE Ben "Baby" Williams.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Nope. It was Ken "Baby" Johnson. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JohnKe22.htm
HurlyBurly51 Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 The name that came to mind was Isaiah Robertson. I thought he was the one chronicled in the NFL Films highlight?
SACKMARINO Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 The name that came to mind was Isaiah Robertson. I thought he was the one chronicled in the NFL Films highlight? I too remember the video of Isaiah Robertson singing it...
Tcali Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I'm pretty sure it was LDE Ben "Baby" Williams. Ben Williams was way better than our present lineup of DEs.........guy could pressure the qb
Lori Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Nope. It was Ken "Baby" Johnson. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JohnKe22.htm Correct.
Albany,n.y. Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 A few years ago I saw an old tape of another team's players singing the same song, with the same tune, before the Bills started singing it. I believe it's a common song that a lot of teams have sung over the years.
VJ91 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I believe it was in 1980 - who was that? And is there a link that documents who it was? I'm coming into this thread too late, so I know without looking the answer has been posted, but I will add the answer again: veteran linebacker Isaah Robertson was the first Bill to sing that tune in the locker room.
todzilla Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I clearly remember Robertson singing in the videos I've seen. My friends and I have reprised it many times over the years.
BillnutinHouston Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I too remember the video of Isaiah Robertson singing it... Yup.
bbb Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 It was Baby Johnson, not Isiah, who started this song. I know this because there was no other reason for me to remember Baby Johnson.
NorCal Aaron Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Lou Piccone's 'Sounds of the Season' trumps 'I've got a Feelin'.
TimGraham Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I believe it was in 1980 - who was that? And is there a link that documents who it was? I think the original song was the Steelers, but pretty much every team adopted it and inserted their name. I grew up listening to the Browns version of the same song.
ChevyVanMiller Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Nope. It was Ken "Baby" Johnson. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JohnKe22.htm Thanks. The old brain cells are getting foggy. I knew it was "Baby," but had the wrong guy.
