SageAgainstTheMachine Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 http://sports.yahoo.com/golf/pga/news;_ylt...p&type=lgns Here's to hoping Amy gets better and that the media doesn't hound the family too much.
shrader Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Didn't she have another health issue a few years back, maybe a difficult pregnancy?
KD in CA Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 That sucks....good luck to her for a full recovery. Reminds me of Chris Speilman. Whatever happened with his wife's cancer?
H2o Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Sad, sad situation. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Mickelson family.
bbb Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I haven't seen anything posted here. I really hope she she makes it.......I stood next to her at the PGA at Oak Hills and she's not only gorgeous, but down to earth. I can't find out how old she is. It's actually worse, the younger you are with breast cancer.
Lori Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 37. http://www.thegolfchannel.com/tour-insider...t-cancer-29413/ http://www.cbssports.com/golf/story/11768456 KD, Stefanie Spielman is now fighting cancer for the fourth time, 11 years after the initial diagnosis. The outlook doesn't sound good ... but she's still fighting.
Steely Dan Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 With kids too. God bless and may she recover quickly.
bbb Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 My mother's surgeon used Spielman's wife as an example. He said the odds are really tough when you still have all the hormones that feed the cancer (and I don't like how the news is talking about Major Surgery).......There are so many variables, though, and I've seen younger than 37 make it.......Prayers to Stefanie and Amy.
BuffaloBud Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Picture from last week's Race for the Cure showed S Spielman in a wheelchair.
