John Adams Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 good news The Under 30 crowd had its highest turnout ever. Hopefully they can turn around the poor voting habits of their parents.
swede316 Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 So which is it..record turnout..or only 1 in 10 voted ...I've seen both...or is 1 in 10 the record turnout?

Just hearsay and people wanting to believe that the kids weren't voting.
Campy Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 What we do know is that 17% of the voters were young voters, and that number held steady from the previous election. Given that more Americans voted in this election than ever before, the young voters acquitted themselves rather well by maintaining that percentage. They were no worse than the general population.
swede316 Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Well...17% equates to a little under 2 in 10...not much better.
