oddoublee
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4174469 I'm pretty happy about this for various reasons...namely being that I would rather listen to an ex-coach talk about the game than a sports journalist. That is my generic take... Curious about what everyone else thinks...
youbotymyboty
It can't hurt. Tony was the latest in a long line of blow-hards.

Beerball
I like it. Kornheiser is (IMO) very good on Pardon the Interruption, but awful on MNF. Let's see how Chucky does.
BLZFAN4LIFE
I used to like Kornheiser's radio show, but he was a bad fit on MNF. Too much complaining and he made no secret that it was an effort for him to stay awake so late for the broadcasts. He really couldn't speak with authority. It seemed like his comments were more like questions and I believe Jaws was annoyed with him.
deep2evans
Can't say I'm happy about this. I like Tony a lot, although I admit he's much better on PTI than MNF - still likeable though. Gruden just seems weird.
Lt. Dan's Revenge
I like it. Kornheiser is (IMO) very good on Pardon the Interruption, but awful on MNF. Let's see how Chucky does. That's how I've felt about Kornheiser the past few years. I think he and Wilbon compliment eachother well and I enjoy PTI, but he was pretty brutal at times during MNF broadcasts. Almost an annoyance.
WellDressed
Yeaaa, watching Chuckie during the draft had me wanting more. He will be a nice asset for ESPN and MNF.
PushthePile
Really another football guy in the booth? Why not continue the laughs with a Skip Bayless or Carrot Top addition?
Lori
Gruden was a communications major at Dayton, and I'm looking forward to hearing him banter with Jaws. Football 501 -- the graduate-level class -- is now in session.

Lurker
Yea! With this, on top of Madden, I may be able to un-mute the TV more often...
Fingon
I don't know.... Gruden has always been a little odd as an NFL coach. He must have given up his pursuit to learn the spread offense. (probably realized it wouldn't work in the NFL)
BillsWatch
I used to like Kornheiser's radio show, but he was a bad fit on MNF. Too much complaining and he made no secret that it was an effort for him to stay awake so late for the broadcasts. He really couldn't speak with authority. Madden and Kornheiser ought to do a sequel to Dumb and Dumber.
DrDawkinstein
i like kornheiser, i think PTI is the best sports talk show on the air. but i dont mind having the "entertainment" replaced by actual football guys. it'll be interesting to hear Gruden's take on certain things. so the line up is Tirico-Jaws-Gruden? that may be one of the most football knowledgeable teams ever put together for broadcast! stuckincincy
Gruden was a communications major at Dayton, and I'm looking forward to hearing him banter with Jaws. Football 501 -- the graduate-level class -- is now in session. I always enjoyed seeing his post-game pressers. IIRC, he didn't duck, and was pretty frank. Bullpen
I really like it, particularly for the reasons Lori mentioned and I also liked his work leading up to and following the draft.
SteamRoller67
I like it. Kornheiser is (IMO) very good on Pardon the Interruption, but awful on MNF. Let's see how Chucky does. Me too. Love the guy on PTI....absolutely sucked in the MNF booth. I look forward to hearing Gruden's comments, he's a straight shooter.
IDBillzFan
For all the people who spend time arguing whether, in fact, God exists, I offer this news as proof that he not only exists, but he watches MNF. Kornhole was absolutely horrid in that venue.
