Tomorrow afternoon Mayor Byron Brown will present him with a key to the City of Buffalo.

A 35 year old WR signed to a one year contract who has yet to play a down for his 4th NFL team, and he's getting a key to the city?

Are you kidding? Come on Buffalo, just treat him like any other player on this team. I don't live in Buffalo, so I don't know who the last athlete was that got a key to the city. Is it just me, or is this overblown by the Mayor, giving T.O. a key to the city? To me, it's a joke. I think it should have stopped at a press conference.

At the time of this posting... a crowd has gathered at Buffalo-Niagara International Airport awaiting the arrival of Terrell Owens.

As it turns out, it's been quite a wait indeed. Owens was origially due in at 6:15, then 9:15, and after a day of delays and missed flights, we're told by a VH1 representative that he'll be touching down just after 11:30pm.

A crowd has gathered at the airport... fans with faces painted... just to catch a glimpse of Owens as he arrives.

Welcome to the circus.

What does the key open?

The Official Buffalo Bills VIP Lounge at the Erie County Holding Center. If it gets much worse, ECHS may have it's own Bills Wall of Fame.

Euhrm you give someone the key of the city for actually achieving something, not when he's there for an one year visit and hasn't done anything for your city yet... So euhrm...

It's a rare chance for Buffalo to get mentioned on VH1!!! Come on, you can't be defensive and sensitive about every negative thing said about our fair city, and then at the same time mock the mayor for using a publicity stunt to bring in some positive spin. For some reason, VH1 thinks this stupid T.O reality show will work for it's young demographic audience. Why? I have no idea. But since they think it will work, someone in the mayor's office did some quick thinking of their own, and will now have this "presentation" at City Hall filmed for all of VH1 nation to watch.

I think it's marketing genius, and I applaud them for it.

Looks like just another case of politicians jumping in front of a parade for self-serving face time...

And people said TO wouldn't be happy going to a small market team because he wouldn't get enough attention.
