Justice Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I believe Eddie Murphy was the greatest stand-up comedian of all time. His stuff on "Delirious" and "Raw" was some of the funniest crap I have ever heard. I would like to see if he still has it in him. Who's your favorite? Here's some of my favorite jokes from "Raw". Great impersonating as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36lVInUUDTM
PushthePile Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 George Carlin was my favorite. He had such a great style and he never changed. RIP George
PastaJoe Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Rodney Dangerfield was the best, with kudos to Don Rickles and George Carlin. My current favorite that makes me laugh whenever I hear her is Lisa Lampanelli.
GOBILLS78 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Top 5: 5.) . As much of a womanizing, misogynistic a-hole this guy was off the stage in his heyday, that dude was fuggin funny. Still is.4.) (Tie) Tommy Davidson - Kind of a one-trick pony, but the shtick works. Again and again. - when he's not swearing every fifth word, he's funny. The "puff, puff pass" bit will always be hilarious.3.) Dana Carvey. Underrated as a stand-up guy. 2.) Food. Fat. Funny.1.) "Get some leaves!" Classic. Clean. Traditional. There's no debate. Good honorable mention: Chris Rock, Rodney Dangerfield, , George Burns, Bottom 5 (or dudes I just don't get): 5.) George Carlin. I happen to love golf. 4.) Sam Kinison. I'm screaming! It's funny! Get it? Nope. 3.) Robin Williams. Stand-up shouldn't feel like work. 2.) Lenny Bruce. I hate the world! Yeah, we all do. 1.) Ron White. You're not nearly as cool as you think you are. Bad honorable mention: Andy Kaufman, Eddie Izzard, Lewis Black, Demetri Martin
/dev/null Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Carlos Mencia He steals everybody else's good material, so it's like watching an All Star Game

Fezmid Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 - when he's not swearing every fifth word, he's funny. The "puff, puff pass" bit will always be hilarious. I like his Hustlin' routine.
buckeyemike Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Jeff Dunham Gotta agree. He might be the best one out there right now. Dean said that Dunham's funny even without the puppets. A classic appearance on the Tonight Show in 1990 with Walter.
The Poojer Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 WOW, I had no idea Dunham has been at it that long..i wish they had the whole bit, that was some funny...and ballsy....stuff Gotta agree. He might be the best one out there right now. Dean said that Dunham's funny even without the puppets. A classic appearance on the Tonight Show in 1990 with Walter.
JimBob2232 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 WOW, I had no idea Dunham has been at it that long..i wish they had the whole bit, that was some funny...and ballsy....stuff Yeah, I once saw an interview with Jeff Dunham. He said that the best part of being a vantriliquist was that he could say whatever he wanted, but because he had a puppet with him, it was somehow acceptable!

The Dean Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I liked Eddie Murphy's act a lot better when Richard Pryor was doing it. I actually think Chris Rock's version of that act is better than Eddie's.
mcjeff215 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Not safe for work at all... but I've found this guy pretty funny as of late... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXYrThC3N3I
