Guest dog14787 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Yes, Fast Freddie (most certainly not his nickname) and Action Jackson are used by some of the moron posters on a message board. Who cares? My point is, that's not his real nickname...one that he goes by, or that friends/teammates call him, as far as any of us knows. If posters on the board called him Fred Dippity-Do Flintstone Jackson McGillicutty, would you be defending that too? I didn't bring up "Head" in this thread, and have done so maybe once, or twice, in the past. But Head is the only nickname we KNOW other players/friends/family use for him. But, do you really think Fred objects to "Head"? Many players have, and embrace, nicknames that might seem objectionable to a casual observer. It is usually because they are dubbed with those names by friends, and they are said with affection. If you don't like "Head" (even though it has been given to him by friend and teammate, Marshawn Lynch), I recommend calling him "Fred Jackson". I like Action Jackson so I recommend you deal with it. Fred Jackson: "Ha, ha. I really haven't come up with anything," Jackson said as the Buffalo Bills prepare to play at Arizona on Sunday. "The only thing that I've seen consistently is `Action Jackson. What do ya know, Right from the horses mouth he basically endorses the nickname, kinda makes you wonder if this head nickname is all a bunch of BS

The Dean Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Lets just hope we never end up calling him crackson Jackson Cooler nickname, to be sure...but for all the wrong reasons. EDIT: Actually, "Crack-Jack" would be a cooler nickname.
Guest dog14787 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 You can see from that quote, how Fred has really embraced it. Lamest Nickname Ever Sports writer loved it http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?sectio...e=buffalo+bills

Guest dog14787 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Fixed. What about the head nickname, wheres the proof? at least he's familiar with my nickname.
The Dean Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 What about the head nickname, wheres the proof? at least he's familiar with my nickname. "Familiar" with the words Action Jackson used together? How could that be? It is SO original, and no idiot could come up with that by himself just because of the rhyme...or the fact that it has been used in the past, on any number of occasions (including the title of a movie). BTW, sorry if I don't take your vow to stick with "Action Jackson" no matter what seriously, as it looks like your word isn't very good. You vowed to stick with "Fast Freddie" last November. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?s=&am...t&p=1193798
The Dean Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 You might also note, that I have been consistent in my position: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?s=&am...t&p=1193091 If it's true that Marshawn calls Fred "Head, that's good enough for me. If not, I will call him Fred Jackson, until something arises organically.

I mentioned Fast Freddie in this thread. Whats more funny is it was you who convinced me to stop using fast Freddie because it was used already. Dean, Dean, Dean, ya just gotta stop gulping from the SKOOBY fountain. I'll ask you again, how about the proof of this head nickname because it was you who brought it to the board.

The Dean Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I'll ask you again, how about the proof of this head nickname because it was you who brought it to the board. You need to get some sleep, dog: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...p;#entry1193798 http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?s=&am...t&p=1192656 I don't really call him "Head"...not yet, since I don't know if that's what he's called. Two posters have indicated it is what Marshawn calls him. If that's true, "Head" it is. I tend to call him Fred, Fred Jackson or Jackson. (Mr. Jackson if you're nasty!) There might be a post, or two, where I have used that nickname for him, but I can't recall one.
The Dean Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 you keep showing me posts of you mentioning head, that's not proof They are evidence that I didn't bring the nickname "Head" to the board, as you claimed in the post, before you edited it. Show me a post (other than in the discussion of his nickname) where I refer to him as "Head", in normal context. EDIT: First you edit your post...and now you remove one. Actually, that is pretty good thinking, on your part.

2020 Our Year For Sure Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I like Action Jackson. It rhymes, its a positive, rolls off the tongue. I don't see whats so terrible about it. Thats what I'm gonna call him regardless. Guess I'm a moron poster.
Guest dog14787 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Awwww doggonit http://www.amherstbee.com/news/2007/1212/sports/119.html "I call him head, because he's got the biggest head in the locker room," Lynch said of his counterpart. "I look around the crowd and see a lot of "Action Jackson" signs and that don't sound too bad. But for me, I'm going to stick with head." hmmmm, You Big Dummy "the Biodome Lynch" has kind of a catchy sound to it, at least for the first three games anyway.
zazie Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Why was Jonathan Smith "fast freddy" anyway? Just wondering.
Pat7s Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 I'm just glad we're coming up with some ideas. I don't care if we call him Action Jackson, Head Jackson, whatever, just not Fast Freddie. Action Fred Jackson works, yeah yeah it rhymes and isn't massively creative, but it's fun to say and is a positive name that reflects well on him and the team. I think that's the most important thing.

Finally I get it you don't really care what we call Fred do you? It would appear that you are more concerned with slamming Lynch. All good but as a Bills fan I truly wonder if Lynch walks the straight and narrow will you still look for reasons to slam him? His dreads, his teeth or maybe his baggy jeans and multicolored jacket. As far as the nickname I could truly care less as long as we never have to call him traction Jackson. Nicknames are GAH anyway.
