Fan in Chicago Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I agree with you, I cannot stand poor grammar. The typos I'll let slide.. but bad grammar Your so right. Me to.
nucci Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I told you I appreciate it. I was not trying to be sarcastic. I know. Just trying to clarify my side. It's cool
Don Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Jabari Greer...shows up... So did their plans to draft and sign 19 DB's
bourbonboy Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 It's a 4-year contract extension ?? Where did you hear that? And how can it be a contract extension if he was not under contract at the time?
Fan in Chicago Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 ?? Where did you hear that? And how can it be a contract extension if he was not under contract at the time? Not a confirmation per se, but a mention of 4 years is here EDIT: Source probably is Tim Graham
Mark Vader Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 This is great news to hear. Congratulations to Fred Jackson, even though I do not know the details of the contract, it is good to see him get a good contract that he has earned. You look at Jackson and you can see that hard work does pay off. From Undrafted Free Agent to Practice Squad Player to NFL Europe for 2 years to active NFL roster. Signing Terrell Owens was the most exciting move this offseason, signing Fred Jackson to a new extended contract could very well be the smartest move.
VanCity Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Why would you get yourself so worked up about the length of time it took the Bills & Jackson to come to an agreement? I could of told you back in March that jackson was going to sign an extension this offseason. He has no other choice. You should of never sweated this one. I hate when people write "could of". "Could of" is the way it sounds, sort of, but the meaning of this phrase should lead anyone to understand that it would be written "could have" or a the least "could've". Just saying. Maybe the teacher in me, but I would be much more receptive to a well written post than a gramatically incorrect one. It brings an air of credibility to the post, even if it were from an non-credible source. Still, happy to see Freddie will come into camp a little happier. He deserves the raise. he is a great second option as a back for the Bills. Now, let's see what happens with Tinoisamoa. I'd like to see a pass rusher like him on the team. Smaller guy, but heart of a lion. Would fit our D scheme well. Fingers are crossed.

The guy has had 10 sacks in 6 years & you think he is some kind of sack specialist.
todd Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I think is fantastic play against Denver last year really solidified his place on the team. Lynch went out and he took over the game. Sorry Gordio, should have said "imposing tackler", then you might have been happier? I think your mom is calling you for dinner. Go upstairs and eat the KD and weiners she made for you. Chase it down with a Bud Light and call it a day... I didn't say I was a credible source. I said that well written post makes you seem more educated and lends an air of credibility.
The Dean Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Beautiful! Done and it's only May. Why was anyone really worried about this? Let's hope there is more good news today, or tomorrow.
K-9 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Jabari Greer...shows up... Bills have too much tied up in the CB position and, with what CB command on the open market, keeping Greer was just not practical. Especially when you have to get a more talented CB on the field in the form of McKelvin. Could they have replaced McGhee with Greer, perhaps. But McGhee brings more to the table as far as the Bills are concerned. I like Greer and wish him well in the Big Easy, but I doubt the Bills will experience too much of a drop off. GO BILLS!!!

I'm not sure the Bills have too much $$ in DBs as they have managed that pretty well. They have a lot of talent there, though. While I also like Greer, McKelvin has the talent to be a much better CB in the NFL.
Chief D Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 http://nationalfootballpost.stats.com/fb/s...mp;tm=&src= Jackson article
The Dean Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 http://nationalfootballpost.stats.com/fb/s...mp;tm=&src= Jackson article Fred Jackson, another player brought in by that crappy GM, Marv Levy.
DrDawkinstein Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 not surprised, glad it's done. i was confident the entire time that the team would get him signed well before camp. not sure why anyone was worried about this.
DrDawkinstein Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 ?? Where did you hear that? And how can it be a contract extension if he was not under contract at the time? its an extension of the 1-year minimum deal that was tendered. while he hadnt signed anything yet, he was already locked into at least a 1 year deal with us. this new contract is an extension of that.
