el Tigre Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Great news. Lynch,Jackson,Rhodes. We are very strong at RB.
ricojes Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Jabari Greer...shows up... I don't think anyone here lost sleep because the Bills didn't re-sign Greer. He's a nice player, but easily replaced. No team re-signs every player. Free agency happens, deal with it!
BillsGuyInMalta Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Very nice move by the Bills front office. Now sign Pisa and we'll call it a day
John from Riverside Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 The bottom line is our RB core is very strong now......we are protecting in case of bone headed decisions or injuries for the forseeable future...... And of course the RB stable has to be excited about having some maulers on this O Line......
H2o Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/05/13/...under-contract/ Happy about this one too. Love what Fred Jackson brings to the Buffalo Bills every time he sets foot on the field. Hopefully this is more than him just signing his tender.
High Mark Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 The best football teams have great depth at RB, as in 2 or 3 guys who could be starters in the NFL. Example: SB Champion Steelers - Parker, Mendenhall, Moore. The year before: Gmen - Jacobs, Ward, Bradshaw. With the three on our roster, we have three guys who could start any game and no one should be worried. Good to see the Bills taking steps in the right directions.
VABills Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 But I thought Ralph was a racist who was cheap and wouldn't re-sign black players?
nucci Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Cool. Hopefully a multiple-year deal. It would have to be. He was already under contract for 1 year as a RFA.
GOBILLS78 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 It would have to be. He was already under contract for 1 year as a RFA. I was under the impression he could sign a one-year tender.
merlin Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 People around here need to panic. The Bills prove once again if you show up you get paid. Kelsay..shows up..paid. Evans..shows up..paid. Jackson...shows up...paid. Peters...doesn't show up.... gets traded .... gets paid even MORE PTR fixed it for you .... ;-) GO BILLS!
Guest dog14787 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 just agreed to an extension bills txt Awesome news
ricojes Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I was under the impression he could sign a one-year tender. Yes he could. But if that were the case, wouldn't the report be that he signed his tender offer instead of an extension?
nucci Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I was under the impression he could sign a one-year tender. I'm not sure it was signed. I think once the Bills tendered the offer he was under contract.

All three of the Steelers RB's this year missed games due to injury. During some games that that multiple RB's out due to injuries.
