RayFinkle Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 The latest on Andre Smith...yet another mistep. He committed to appearing at a 3 day football camp...gets lost driving there and finally shows up just as the 2nd day is ending. Fellow rookie offensive lineman Jonathan Luigs had no such problems. When Smith pulled into a gas station to ask for directions to Bloomington he was asked "which Bloomington?" The camp was being held in Bloomington, Illinois but apparently Smith was driving to Bloomington, Indiana. http://www.pantagraph.com/articles/2009/06...07746792801.txt How is a guy a multi-millionare (going to be) and not own a friggin GPS?
The Dean Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 How is a guy a multi-millionare (going to be) and not own a friggin GPS? Or maybe a cell phone?
SACTOBILLSFAN Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 How is a guy a multi-millionare (going to be) and not own a friggin GPS? he still had the wrong state so even gps wouldn't have mattered. Ain't no cure for dumbass I guess.
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 You're thinking of the wrong guy. Not Levi Jones. Andre Smith. he was drafted at #6 this year, and the Bills were at #11, so obviously they never got a shot. Crayonz, say hello to your latest victim.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Anyways, Andre Smith makes a commitment to appear at a three day football camp and shows up at the end of the second day. That is the point. His rookie teammate makes the same commitment and shows up on time. Then to make matters worse, Andre Smith admits that he was actually driving to the wrong city, he didn't even know where he was supposed to be going. Good luck with that playbook Andre. Every time he's given the benefit of the doubt he proves that he doesn't deserve it.
JoeF Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Crayonz you forgot about the "mulligan" draft. At any time in the first round a team on the clock can call "mulligan" and pick a guy that has already been picked. The original picking team gets a series of compensatory picks to make up for the lost draft choice plus they can raid any existing player off the "mulligan" team's roster. It almost happened this year with us. Rumor had it that the Saints wanted Maybin and we were interested in acquiring Saints Punter Thomas Morstead--plus we would have gotten 4 picks -- the Saints #1, and picks at the end of rounds 2, 4 and 7. The Mulligan Rule--know it -- live it
mrags Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 What I dont understand is that IL, and IN are next to one another and it only takes 3 1/2 hours to drive between the 2 cities. How the hell did it take him almost 2 full days of driving to get there? You can drive to FL from NY in less than 20 hours, why the f&$k does it take him 48 hours to drive a distance that would be equal to Buffalo to Cleveland? http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Bloomingto...gton+&2s=IL True Story
