murra Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 so its like replacing a 88 oldsmobile with a 97 neon, i guess that's an upgrade Honestly that was one of the worst analogies I have ever had the displeasure of coming across... Is Ellison an old beat down veteran? It was a layup using cars to equate the situation, and you shot a brick. (How's that?)
The Senator Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 We should force people to pass a minimum literacy test before they're allowed to start a thread. If you have trouble compiling sentances, post all you want in other threads, but I really can't stand reading "I'm I the only one...". The hell is that? Not to mention the errors made in your message. Seriously people, I don't care if you have trouble with english, but use a spell check or edit it so you don't look like a damn fool.
bourbonboy Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 While I get the concern its not like there is anyone better left in free agency ( maybe Derrick Brooks but he might be done or retire ). Pisa is young and can play at a higher weight and is certainly an upgrade over what we have at a seizable margin. Pisa does come with concerns like his health issues and the fact that he got released from a bad team but I think the Juice is worth the squeeze Exactly - When it's 2:00 am and the bar is closing, if you are still holding out for a "10", you will end up at home alone. This late in the game, I'll take the solid "7" anyday. It's not like there's a half dozen pro-bowl free agent LB's just waiting for someone to call....if an above-average LB falls in your lap that is talented, an improvement over what you have now, and is a good fit for your defensive scheme, you grab him. No-brainer.
Tsaikotic Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I don't understand the whole "why take a good player cut by a bad team..he must be bad" thing...many times players good or bad get cut/traded by new HC's on the team...not saying this is the case, but it happens and the Rams do have a new HC...some ppl are saying he was cut because he was to small for the HC's liking...which falls under new HC cuts..but like I said, I'm not saying that's the case.

murra Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 wow..where are you drinking where there's still "7's" left over after last call??..I must go there..lol Well, you have to consider the inflation, being that it is in Buffalo. A Buffalo 7 is widely considered a 4 by national standards.

I was thinking the same thing when I noticed he was from Rochester..lol..I knew he wasn't in Buffalo because he said 2 am closing, which in Buffalo it's 4 am..unless they changed it?
bourbonboy Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Myself, I'm a proponent of the GUE theory (go ugly early). Funny - the last girl that went home with you said the same thing....
John from Riverside Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 What I dont understand is why posters dont want players unless either someone in the media says they or great or they have made the pro bowl for the last 3 years..... There are only SO MANY of those guy and NONE of them are available at the moment. You try to upgrade a weakness on your team the best you can and get your impact players in other areas. I want Pisa (in a no homo kind of way)

DDD Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 What does it matter if they sign him? If he is better then Ellison then why the grief? Or are you signing the checks? Aim higher my friend. You logic is like saying a Ford escort is better than Yugo. They both suck...so does it really matter? Now if we can get Derrick Brooks who no longer is a Lexus but become a Honda Accord, we're doing much better.
thebandit27 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 THE RAIDERS? YOU ARE COMING BACK WITH THE RAIDERS? Thats not an issue of schematic systems. That is an issue of system in place from the Front Office. Randy Moss anyone? PS- right, because it's not as though they went to the super bowl the year he played there.
