buffalonian Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 The crowd is incredibly loud. It's no wonder that teams hated playing there in those days. While the fans are still great, there has been a lot less excitement in recent years. As a result, the boisterous tension that existed in the early 90's is missing today.
Búfalo Blanco Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Damn I miss that team... Looking at it now really puts in perspective how great they were.
sac bills Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Just another reminder of how far the franchise has fallen over the past 10 years. A great video that brought a smile to my face.
5 Wide Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 4th & 1 at the goal line, up by a bunch, and they go for it and pound it in. Man do I miss those days
Jerry Jabber Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Damn I miss that team... Looking at it now really puts in perspective how great they were. I agree, those were special times for us Bills fans.

extrahammer Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I've searched all over youtube for a video of the Monday Nighter against Cleveland when the fans were singing "Shout". It was really insanely loud and I'd love to watch it.
stevewin Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I was in the end zone where all the 1st half scoring was. It was such a surreal experience - the game over by halftime - just a big party in the stands - people in delerious disbelief - then every once in a while it would hit you "We are going to the F'in Super Bowl!!!!!" Impossible for younger fans who grew up with/after the Super Bowl teams to really understand how absolutely starved everyone was for something like that in Buffalo - and how impossible it all seemed. Unbelievable. Interesting too - Enberg mentions the Gulf War at one point - that just added to how surreal everything was. God it was great to see Thurman in his prime - just the best.
Rubes Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Kind of hard to believe we had an interception, missed extra point, and missed field goal in that game...
BillsFan74 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Man that was a good day, why can't we get that day everyday instead of the groundhog's day BS we get now? 5 hall of famers help.

ChasBB Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Ted Marchibroda -- don't hear that name much, but he was the OC then. Brilliant coach.
