Hargrove

Recommended Posts

Last I heard there was a warrant for his arrest because he skipped on the community service the judge required him to perform as part of his plea bargain. The guys a loser and done in Buffalo. Let him go play for the Bengals.

Not worth the trouble. Why have a guy who you can't trust to be on the field?

Anyone know anything about him? is he still a Bill? I read his was reinstated in the NFL. Will he come to camp and compete to play with the bills again? You have to admit he was fun to watch.

Thanks

I'll take Hargrove's 2.5 sacks over the zero we usually get.

Hargrove is solid. He's one of those harmless criminals, kind of like Plaxico-- just sort of stumbles into bad situations and does stupid things.

Oxygen Bandit and Criminal. He fits the FO normal picks.

If you consider 2-1/2 sacks in 22 games as a Bill to be good pass rushing, you're going to love Chris Ellis.

You realize rookie d-ends take time right? Even arguably the best defensive end in the league Justin Tuck had 1 sack in his first 20 games. It took Strahan until his 5th year in the nfl to break the double digit sack barrier, accumlating just 18 sacks in his first 70 games. It's the rare dend that tunes up sacks right out of the gate. Ellis like most college dends came in undersized and not strong at the point of attack. He was a good college player who has nfl potential, whether or not he realizes that is on him. It's far to early to throw him under the bus. I hope you're not unrealistic when it comes to aaron maybin odds are its gonna be 2-3 years before he starts to do anything.

Unless I missed something, Hargrove has played 4 NFL seasons.

You did miss something. That post was about Chris Ellis (Rookie last year) having produced almost nothing.

ah very well then...ignore me, nothing to see here.

regarding ellis, he didn't really impress me in college, and i don't hold out a ton of hope for him. apparently the bills don't either, or they wouldn't have drafted maybin.

I understand the guy's point about the lack of production for rookie DE's, but Ellis didn't see the field with a team that saw an injury to Schobel, and he wasn't able to see the field really at all. I think I hold Ellis on a similar par to McCargo, in that I believe if used correctly they could improve our defense in certain situations, but our team poorly mishandles those types of players, and their status on our team is questionable.
