Original Byrd Man Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 A sad end to a great player, politician, and more importantly person. RIP Jack.
Spiderweb Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Kemp was instrumental in cutting the top tax marginal rate of 70% down to 28% (Kemp-Roth Bill) and with that PROVED that money in the hands of the American tax payers increases tax revenue coming into the U.S. Treasury!! U. S. Tax receipts nearly DOUBLED from 1982 to 1988. Why? Those that work and produce realized that they can keep more of what they earn...and NOT give it to the government. This generated huge growth in our economy with new capital investments and encourged people to work hard for their money. Unfortately, today's president B.O. believes that government knows best how to spend YOUR money. He is moving this country into full blown socialism. B. O. stinks, plain and simple RIP Jack Kemp...you understood from your humble beginnings that your can't have employees unless you have employers first! Wrong place for a political debate. Save this misguided, misinformed, and fear mongering thought for the political boards.
BuffaloBill Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 A great loss for the Bills, Buffalo and our nation. More important than any of these a great loss for his family. Prayers and sympthy go out to them.
BuffaloBorn1960 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Wrong place for a political debate. Save this misguided, misinformed, and fear mongering thought for the political boards. But its ok for you to say...."Same here. Despised his politics/economics, but not the man. RIP. : Typical lib hypocrit..... Kemp was a great man on and off the field, in and out of politics. He personally helped my family when my father became disabled. I owe alot to his assistance and I will never forget him.... RIP
ChevyVanMiller Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 R.I.P. Jack. You said, "Buffalo will always be my hometown." We say, "You'll always be loved and honored on TSW."

RIP Nothing hypocritical there at all, Rush. I agreed with another's assessment, and still do, but as a man, despite diagreeing with his polictics/economics, I had tremendous respect for the man. A class act. Do you have trouble understanding that one can disagree with another, yet still admire and respect them? He had a heart as well, to which we all agree. Your oxycotin dealer is waiting for you at the corner....
Numark Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 he was a good man. RIP and can you 2 stop, not the place.
Nanker Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 RIP Jack. My condolences to his family and friends on their loss.
CT Bills backer Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 RIP Jack. I was unfortunately too young to ever watched a Kemp-led Bills team, but I (like any good, Bills fan in his 20s should) dived right into the Bills history and read about all of the great squads he led on the field. Great human being, great football player...you will be missed, Mr. Kemp. Those 60s era Bills teams were something to watch. Bills almost made the first Super Bowl. Before the AFL championship game, I remember seeing a picture of Jack Kemp holding a big $25,000 check which was the winners share in those days. Great guy and very compassionate.
SoulMan Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Farewell, Jack. The world is a better place because you were here.

Your oxycotin dealer is waiting for you at the corner.... Great retort, again... nice move to demonize the individual rather than deal with what was said.... Is it ok to call you Olbermann now? You cannot understand why someone revered Kemp for his politics so you demonize his post by saying... "Wrong place for a political debate. Save this misguided, misinformed, and fear mongering thought for the political boards". Your actual statment was ... "Despised his politics/economics". not "diagreeing with his polictics/economics" big difference! Do you actually know anything about his politics other that he was a republican... then he must be bad! This is highly hypocritcal. There is a reason he was called a "Bleeding heart Conservative"... do yourself a favor, read up on his positions before you post.. Dare I say... you might the one who might be misinformed? Save your crude comments about Rush... He is a jerk in my opinion.... also the oxycotin comment just shows your desperation and inability to deal with someone who opposes your position.. It appears that if someone posts a comment contray to your opinion.. you attempt to discredit or demean... it does niether.. Why not just recognize what Kemp did in his life and let the other BS go?
Flutie Flakes Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 My thoughts and prayers go to the Kemp family. You were great human being in so many ways and will always be remembered. You were also a gentleman with a capital "G". R.I.P Mr. Kemp.
Guest dog14787 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 My Dad had taken some family photo's of Jack Kemp and some of the Kemp Family years ago and always spoke very highly of Jack Kemp before he passed away. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Kemp family and may he RIP.
BuffaloBlood Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I wish this world had more people with the class, and dignity of Jack Kemp. He will be missed
