Toledo Bill Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Nobody in Chicago is wearing 23. Were not asking for the league to retire 12 (though they prolly will after Brady retires because of their lovefest) all were asking is that the current Bills staff respect the fact that when a number is retired you cant use it... even for rookie mini camp. No its not the end of the world for all you sarcastic pricks its jsut a sign of respect tot he greatest leader this team has ever had. The best QB we have ever had in Buffalo. However... he should have LED them out of the pre Super Bowl parties earlier in the mornings.
Speedy G Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 why worry about a player that wont be on an nfl roster in the fall, its like a dream camp for these players anyway, like Kelly even cares if someone wears 12, he's a fan just like us, we all just want wins!
Lori Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I don't think the number 12 is retired... It is. Ralph announced it during the Wall of Fame ceremony.
devldog131 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Jim Kelly's #12 is the only number officially retired by the Buffalo Bills.
LabattBlue Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I know it is only a rookie mini-camp, but if the number is retired no player should wear it at any point including rookie mini-camp, OTA's, training camp, preseason games or regular season games.
Captain Hindsight Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I don't think the number 12 is retired... Its actually the only number retired in Bills history. I remember because the bills list was so short compared to other teams. The Bills typically dont retire the number but use the wall of fame instead
