Beerball Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 First it was free agency then Owens then the Peters saga then some more free agency then the draft then undrafted free agents then rookie mini camp When does Freddy get his deal done?
spartacus Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 First it was free agency then Owens then the Peters saga then some more free agency then the draft then undrafted free agents then rookie mini camp When does Freddy get his deal done? 2 years from now when he accrues enough time to become a free agent
billsfreak Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 The difference is, if the Bills don't act quick on undrafted free agents, they will go elsewhere. Freddy can't go anywhere else, his only option, if he wants to play and the Bills desire so, is to sign the tender offer. In addition to that, these young guys are 8-9 years younger than Freddy.
papazoid Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 after we sign all the rookies??.....lol......Freddie has no leverage whatsoever.....unless of course he would like to sit home and flush his career down the toilet.....tell him to get his butt in the voluntary workouts and he could expect dominic rhodes type money...$1 mil per year.
Tortured Soul Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 When does Freddy get his deal done? I think it depends on what he's asking.
The Dean Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 First it was free agency then Owens then the Peters saga then some more free agency then the draft then undrafted free agents then rookie mini camp When does Freddy get his deal done? Of course, with all that said, it is STILL April.
Maddog69 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 2 years from now when he accrues enough time to become a free agent Bingo. Freddy is not going anywhere
jwws9999 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Bingo. Freddy is not going anywhere maybe they'd give him a raise if he learned how to play cornerback
tjprime Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 after we sign all the rookies??.....lol......Freddie has no leverage whatsoever.....unless of course he would like to sit home and flush his career down the toilet.....tell him to get his butt in the voluntary workouts and he could expect dominic rhodes type money...$1 mil per year. Ummm, you do realize he HAS BEEN WORKING OUT WITH THE TEAM!!!!! Basically he's been going the Lee Evans route, coming in, working hard and doing what he needs to do. Now it's time for the franchise to show they appreciate it. Unfortunately, they pick up Rhodes and give him money. But most are right, Jackson has no real choice. He can not sign the tender all he likes BUT eventually he'll have to cave and then hope he sees the field and shows enough next year that some team will be willing to give Buffalo a pick for him. If not, it'll be the same story. It's a shame really. You have a guy that showed up big for them last year, wants to be a part of the team, understands his role, and has more mileage left than some of the options they were looking at. He'd be great in a Kevin Faulk type role here.
Beerball Posted April 28, 2009 Author Posted April 28, 2009 Bingo. Freddy is not going anywhere Of course he's not going anywhere, does that mean that his 'happiness' isn't important? He's busted his butt for 2 years & is making peanuts compared to the 3rd-4th round picks who can't seem to find the field. He's not feeling the love and I for one think he deserves a decent 2-3 year deal.
