Poeticlaw Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 We all know we need to have a 53 man roster too early to figure out who but look at the following hard choices in each of these positions: DE: One has to go Kelsay Denney MAybin is going to be the obvious back up and ellis still has potential Ellis LB: One has to go bBUT if we make a run for Seahawks OLB two will have to go Keith Ellison Nic Harris Pat Thomas Alvin Bowen Havent seen him so it makes it easy for me CB: One has to go Ashton Youboty Reggie Corner Ellis Lankster Cary Harris Pick one Flip a coin or two at this moment its hard to say WR: Two have to go Steve Johnson James Hardy Roscoe Parrish Justin Jenkins P.K. Sam FS: One has to go-For me this will be the toughest but KO looks like the odd man out Jairus Byrd George Wilson John Wendling Ko Simpson Not to mention any undrafted free agents that may be good enough to force someone else off the roster also any move to bolster the OL by trade will also force someone else of the team at that spot.
billybob Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 disagree with Denny- better run defender and had more sacks last year, and can go to DT in an emergency

Britbillsfan Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 DE: Kelsay - expensive and we are already trying to move him. LB: Bowen - injury has hurt his chances CB: Lankster or Harris. Can't see either of the other two going anywhere. Youboty might be on the boil if the injury proves bad, but he was playing really well before he was hurt. WR: Sam. Parrish if we can make a trade, otherwise Jenkins. S: Simpson. Chance to stick appears to have gone downhill.

Copeland Bryant will get cut at DE and that'll leave 5 guys there. Gotta think Pat Thomas gets cut, but that position depends a lot on who they decide to keep for ST - Corto, Buggs, and Costanzo are in the mix for 6 through 8 possibly. I think Florence gets cut much in the same way whatever his name was last year that lost the nickle spot to Youboty - James? WR has to be the hardest and will probably play out over training camp, as they probably want to keep 7, but won't be able to, so they'll probably see if Jenkins can be replaced at gunner and if he can, he goes, if not, Roscoe gets traded. I could see even Jenkins getting traded for a little something. Adios Ko - no more millions for you!
