Doug Morris, Levitre's high school coach at San Lorenzo Valley High, scrambled to another TV to hear it for himself, but he was seconds too late. "Can you believe he's going to be blocking for [quarterback] Trent Edwards?" Morris joked. Earlier this decade, SLV won three Central Coast Section football titles in a four-year span. Levitre was a sophomore and late-season call-up to varsity the 2001-02 season, when SLV lost 42-0 to Los Gatos in the CCS final.
