SKOOBY Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 • Buffalo Bills: May have found four eventual starters in first two rounds. Had only 24 sacks last year so DE Aaron Maybin becomes an immediate savior. Lacks bulk at 236 pounds but quick off the edge. Traded back into first round for C Eric Woods, a position of need. CB Jairus Byrd lacks speed but knows how to play. G Andy Levitre is versatile, has played T, but figures more inside as the Bills rebuild their line. How much immediate help any of these players supplies is the open question. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nf...ft-grades_N.htm
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I'd say 5 eventual starters, how can you not count Nelson?

Captain Caveman Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 ? I'm glad you posted this. After spending all weekend watching in TV, I admit I'm a bit fried, and was trying to remember this trade until I saw your post. Great reporting USA Today.
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 And his name isn't Woods, last I checked.
Flbillsfan#1 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Trent Dilfer picked the Bills as having the best Draft of any team on ESPN Sunday Night just after the draft ended. He said the Bills have at least 3 picks that will start & make an IMPACT next season.
bbb Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Yeah, I saw that when he said he looks for teams that will be helped right away, and he names a bunch of teams, and I'm thinking why aren't the Bills ever mentioned and then he makes his pick as the top one and it's the Bills!
Christopher Capolupo Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I'd say 5 eventual starters, how can you not count Nelson? The comment was made referring the first 2 rounds.
SKOOBY Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 The comment was made referring the first 2 rounds. Still, the next pick should make 5. It's like ending the race early and saying you failed to win.
Magox Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Nice to get some love from an outside respected perspective

Small additional note: Maybin was 236lbs...about 4 months ago. Although i will take the A- from them.
