He said the teams that passed him by will pay for the snub and predicted he'll become the best offensive tackle in the history of the NFL. Despite those comments, Smith said he's not a cocky player and was a two-time captain at Arizona.
billnutinphoenix Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Anyone ask him about his short arms and how he will struggle with pash rushers because of these short arms?

He's speaking out of his hurt right now When he lines up against Suggs, Harrison, Woodley, Mathis, Freeney, and the rest of the serious NFL competition we'll see how his "prediction" holds up

VABills Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I remember a young Rb who said the same thing years back
Kelly the Dog Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 I remember a young Rb who said the same thing years back That he was going to be the greatest OT in the history of the NFL? And no, Thurman never said that he was going to be the best running back in the history of the NFL, he simply said he was going to make these other teams pay for not selecting him. The same thing dozens of players say and think every year.
KD in CA Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Thurman never said that he was going to be the best running back in the history of the NFL, But O.J. did. Told Jim Brown right to his face.
Thoner7 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Its going to be hard to be the best tackle ever when he is stuck play RT his whole career. He wont even be the best T on his own team.
