San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 The guy is 35. Obviously a one year stop gap. If they do this then they don't really feel Bell is ready yet. At 35 he should be cheap to get. Maybe Kelsay for him even up. Steely is talking about Walter Jones here. Levi will be 30 when the season begins. Levi J. Jones (born August 24, 1979 in Eloy, Arizona) is a National Football League offensive lineman for the Cincinnati Bengals. He graduated from Arizona State University and was an alternate for the 2006 Pro Bowl. He was part of an offensive line that allowed fewer than 20 sacks in 2005. He graduated from Santa Cruz Valley Union High School in 1997. Contents Jones attended Arizona State University. He earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in business. Professional career Jones was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round (10th overall) of the 2002 NFL draft. On July 25, 2006, Jones signed a six year, $40 million contract extension with the Bengals. He is one of many tackles who give up some size to add speed, being more useful in protecting the Quarterback, but weaker in the running game. Other successful tackles who fit in this category include Joe Thomas, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Matt Light, Jammal Brown, and Travelle Wharton. Las Vegas Scuffle In March 2007, Joey Porter and Jones were involved in a brawl at a Las Vegas casino. Porter still had unresolved ties with Jones from their days in the AFC North between Porter's Pittsburgh Steelers and Jones' Cincinnati Bengals. Porter would go on to play for the Miami Dolphins in 2007. On May 30, Porter pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery and was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine. Porter was docked 3 game checks for his actions. Later reports into the incident revealed that it was not just Porter, but also 6 of his friends who attacked Jones.
