San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 26, 2009 Share Posted April 26, 2009 First of all, for all we know the Bills attempted to get the #21 pick instead of the #28 pick in the Jason Peters trade. Let's just say for arguments sake that if the Bills played chicken with the Eagles, that Philly would have eventually relented and we'd have gotten the higher pick. Here's the players who came off the board in between those picks and my take. 21 Alex Mack C Browns Did we have Mack rated higher than Wood? If so we could have taken Mack here. 22 Percy Harvin WR Vikings Everyone recognizes his talent. Few in Bills Nation really wanted him. 23 Michael Oher OT Ravens Hmmm, a definite possibility. 24 Peria Jerry DT Falcons Another definite possibility. An excellent 4-3, one gap defensive tackle. 25 Vontae Davis DB Dolphins Great player but probably not a fit for the Bills needs. 26 Clay Matthews OLB Packers Definite possibility. Would have been a huge upgrade over Keith Ellison. 27 Donald Brown RB Colts Excellent player, not really a Bills need. 28 Eric Wood C Bills Who we ended up with. Thoughts?
