VOR Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 The guy can't seem to stay healthy he's probably looking at a suspension and one more mistake may be a full year suspension. I'm wondering if these factors led to them removing the franchise tag on him. They removed the FT because they drafted Curry 4th overall and will be paying him 4th overall money.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Cant stay healthy AND has problems with the law? Where do the Bills sign?
MattM Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Even if we don't sign him, his presence on the market drives down the price of other folks we do want, like Keiaho or Brooks, so I take this as a positive.....
SuperKillerRobots Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Can they do that? That's the first I've ever heard of a team doing something of that nature. Interesting though. I'd take him over Ellison, Thomas, and Bowen any day. I think Philly did that with Corey Simon a few years ago and he ended up signing with Indy during training camp.
Tortured Soul Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 wow..I think I'd have to sue them or something for doing that..I mean common...you don't let me try to sign with anybody by tagging me and guaranteeing me top $ then after all the teams have signed who they want, or at least the big $ guys are gone , you dump my tag and I'm standing here with my pecker in my hand now Yeah, all they did was offer him $9 mil for a year. He should've just signed it.
