lets_go_bills Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 If he plays safety and does well, then I'm cool with it. But right now, all I see is another CB.

ganesh Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I was initially upset before I thought of him at safety...honestly, I am starting to really like this pick, and I think with him at Safety we are in for a big surprise here... For me, Maybin is the big question mark, but if he pans out I think 3 years from now the Bills will have the best draft of this year because I think both our OL players will do very well for us and this kid Byrd is a serious gamer I think Ed Reed is a gamer due to the fantastic front seven in Baltimore. I hope the Bills can put a similar front seven in front of Byrd before proclaiming him as the next Ed Reed.
lets_go_bills Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 maybe you should get your eyesight checked, then. That pick has Jauron written all over it. It was a bad pick. We should've just taken Levitre at 42 and called it a day. Instead, we're out our 3rd rounder and have a slow DB who may or may not have a true position. Here's hoping I'm wrong.
seadog Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Same. I almost chucked my beer through the window when I saw "CB" on this screen. My first thought was "he better be our !@#$ing safety," and now that I see how ridiculously well he projects there, I'm very excited. People need to man up and stop being so ignorant about a DB pick. OMFG!!!1!!1!!! another cornerbackz!!!!! He's our SAFETY and could be a special player for us. You said you almost chucked your beer through the window. You need to man up and stop being so ignorant about a DB pick.
deep2evans Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 You said you almost chucked your beer through the window. You need to man up and stop being so ignorant about a DB pick. Sure seaman, coming from the same goofball who said this pick "sets us back 5 years." I didn't want another CB - I didn't see the need for it, especially after signing D. Florance. A safety, however, is a completely different situation, as we had mediocre players vying for the starting spot. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that, and am fully counting on a completely meaningless rebuttal from you.
FluffHead Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I think we'll see another reason for this pick tomorrow when we hear about a trade. what do you know that we do not?
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 what do you know that we do not? He's thinking Ko Simpson will be traded.
Ever Since '86 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 He's thinking Ko Simpson will be traded. or roscoe

I agree that he looks like a playmaker. Seems to be kind of slow, but makes up for it with good instincts and great hands. He doesn't seem to shy away from contact, either.
