StupidNation Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I'm just happy we are doing something in the trenches. Hell if we get Barwin or a high rated guard next round all I will say is Alleluia. It's about freaking time. We tried the fancy sexy picks. These are great picks.
DanInSouthBuffalo Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Not pissy at all here. Love the Wood pick. Maybin will have to impress us on the field though, he's kind of a ? to many still.
BuffOrange Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I'm not sure if an edge rusher really qualifies as a non-glamour ugly guy position. But sure, these were big positions of need and neither appeared to have been a reach so I can't complain.
ax4782 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Most of the people who are complaining are the "always haters" who would claim that they would rather have any of our backups starting over our starters and claim that they know more about football than the entire coaching staff and FO put together. Anyone who knows football can't really complain about these picks. They are solid players who fill desperately needed positions. Maybin could have been Orakpo or another DE, but he could be solid, though I have questions about him. But Wood is a really solid pick. Looks like another Kent Hull.
billnutinphoenix Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I think we get another OL...Bills can't afford projects with their picks (i.e. 2nd crop of TE)

I don't see any ??s about a guy who works extremely hard, is considered one of the biggest talents of the draft, and has excellent character. I love this guy, although I was dreaming about Crabtree.
ax4782 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Since Maualuga will be gone by the time we pick, I think we need to get an OL or a DL or the best OLB available. No fooling around.
