Oneonta Buffalo Fan 2 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Comment here.... Very good pick. He's a very smart player and he will help the O-line a lot when he's fully polished. This kid is good.

Oneonta Buffalo Fan 2 Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Wow....ESPN is loving this pick and I am too! This kid is smart!
rednecksbasketball Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Not a sexy move, but probably a good move as it does fill a hole.
aristocrat Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 just a solid pick here...kid will be our center for the next 10 years.
ax4782 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 He's a solid pick and is certainly an upgrade on the interior of the line. He's big and has a mauler reputation. Our line has lacked toughness and this guy is definitely an improvement. Allows Hangartner to move to his more natural position at G.
CJPearl2 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Great pick. We finally have a Center. First one since Kent Hull.
Lori Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 From Rick Gosselin: http://nflblog.dallasnews.com/archives/200...t-louisvil.html There are three elite centers in this draft and all could go from the late first into the early second round: Cal's Alex Mack, Louisville's Eric Wood and Oregon's Max Unger. All three are rated as the top center on different NFL draft boards. Wood started 49 consecutive games at Louisville and was a two-time All-Big East selection. So he mastered the center position at the college level. Then he played guard at the Senior Bowl, showing the NFL his versatility along the offensive line. I really like what the Indianapolis Colts did in the 2008 draft. They drafted three of my top five centers on the board and immediately moved two of them to guard. All three -- Mike Pollack, Steve Justice and Jamey Richard -- wound up starting games for the Colts last season. Their presence on the roster gave the Colts the luxury of having four players who could make the center snap (also Pro Bowl center Jeff Saturday) in shotgun formation -- and that's where the league is headed. Teams cannot allow an injury at the center position to cripple the offense. So there will be a premium on quality centers in this and future drafts. If you intend to pass the ball, depth at center is imperative. That will benefit Mack, Wood and Unger this Saturday.
dorquemada Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Not a sexy move, but probably a good move as it does fill a hole. Seems like we could have traded down and had this guy?
BrooklynBills Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Wow. Finally we seem to be learning something. Would've prefered Mack here but Wood can play and he is a tough SOB
IHFO Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 come on...people have been complaining for years on here about the bills not adressing the lines..2 1st rounders both adressing the line...this is an awesome draft
