Billsguy Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 One year wonder who can't stop the run. Undersized. What is this bullsh!t!
deep2evans Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 uh the high motor label is reserved for slow guys, who grind their way to the passer. maybin is not that. get a clue.
LynchMob23 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 A guy who has the quickest first step in the NFL draft, plus can grow into whatever size you want? ANd if you notice, the Bills text (if you got it) says...LB. Let him play Will linebacker and rush the passer on passing downs, with Ellison in coverage. Two needs filled with one player.
DDD Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 The guy couldn't stop the run in college and he's drafted at #11 as a situational player. Typical Bills blunder. Tom Modrak should retire. It's official: The game has passed him by.

The Bills need a guy who can rush the passer in the worst way.

Interesting? How do the Bills know when the other team is going to pass or run? I think Maybin is going to get his butt kicked. A sophomore coming out of college at 245lbs. playing against seasoned OL is a mismatch. The Bills swing and miss again. They needed a full time defender with the premium pick, not just a situational player. There is a reason they missed the playoffs for nine straight years.

They won't have to pass sicne we can't stop the run
Kipers Hair Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Or one year wonders? How about pure football players who show up year in and out....If they try to make him a SLB, maybe he can do it, but an everydown end...no way.
sven233 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 he's gonna play LB I agree! The more I look at it, I think they want him to play LB. I guess we might know more in a few minutes depending on who they take.
LABills08 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 How many of you have watched Maybin play? The guy is fast, athletic and will play linebacker for us (at least at first). Have any of you even watched him play?

hudella Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 why- have you seen him play LB?? entering the NFL is probably a good time for a position change DE's switch to LB upon entering the NFL all the time. All depends on the player. Not saying Maybin can do it, but also not saying he can't.

Not saying Maybin can do it, but also not saying he can't. in a 3-4 where they rush the passer newsflash - we don't run a 3-4 and our LBs don't blitz very much, they play in coverage something Mabin has never done
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 i love high motor db's that we dont need....
billybob Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 there were many reasons we had trouble getting sacks- most was on the DEs rush ability but you can't discount how many 3rd and ones teams had because we couldn't stuff the run. if we get Henderson I'll feel better about Maybin.
