Astrobot Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 GREAT VALUE PICK on TE Shawn Nelson......he was rated a late 2nd round pick in two seperate rating services. Nelson is 6' 5'' and 240lbs...ran the 40 in 4.56 (ingram 6' 4" 245 lbs 4.68). Strenths- hands, speed Weakness- blocking.....will need to bulk up. He was the best blocker available, however, getting better in his Sr. year.

darkman Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Question - How many WR's does Miami need? seems like they drafted a lot.

Astrobot Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Question - How many WR's does Miami need? seems like they drafted a lot. With their QB, it's best to array them all over the field.
spartacus Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Nothing not to like about this pick. There is no reason to believe that he can't gain a little weight either. What time do you think they will take the straight jacket off of Jauron, or do you think they gave him a large dose of adavan? we finally got our end zone target after blowing it with Hardy last year
darkman Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 With their QB, it's best to array them all over the field. Now that was funny. Thanks!
Astrobot Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 If my simulator is working, our choice will come down to: (some of these may be taken already) Ricky Jean-Francois DT43 LSU Gerald Cadogan OT Penn State Xavier Fulton OT Illinois Jason Watkins OT Florida Jasper Brinkley ILB South Carolina Trevor Canfield OG Cincinnati Jason Phillips ILB TCU Dannell Ellerbe ILB Georgia Edit: There are some nice WR's and CB's left, but hopefully we're out of that market.
billsfan714 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 ESPN talking about Vick....would you give up 5th and take a flyer on him?
Virgil Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Okay, for our next pick, how would you all feel about any of these 3: Jamon Meredith - OT (ranked 8) Marcus Freeman - OLB (ranked 8) Ricky Jean-Francois - DT (ranked 9) All three would be a solid pick-up.

How do you feel about it overall? I guess my concern is Levitre, giving up two picks to get him will hopefully work out.
billsfan714 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 No. I would, we got nothing behind Edwards....would be the best wildcat QB. The guy has to have paid the highest price ever for dog fighting. Dungy will be working with him. For a 5th? Do it in a heartbeat.
ndirish1978 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Excellent pick with Nelson! I completely disagree with the two guards being ranked as reaches.
Astrobot Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Do these factor positional ratings, i.e. Levitre = best G = first G taken overall = 0 reach? No. We had him going at #78 to San Diego. Bills took him early, at 51 and 78-51=27 slots "early", so it's a "reach" of 27.

Well obviously drafttek has better TE ratings than every GM in the NFL. I got no problem with what we did with Levitre, can play more than one position also.
