davefan66 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 He's listed as the 12th best player by Gosseln (a real source) and the second best DE after Jackson. I LOVE IT! Gosselin so far: 1. Aaron Curry LB Wake Forest(4) 2. Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech10 3. Jason Smith OT Baylor(2) 4. Matthew Stafford QB Georgia(1) 5. Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri 6. Tyson Jackson DE LSU(3) 7. Mark Sanchez QB Southern California(5) 8. Eugene Monroe OT Virginia(8) 9. B.J. Raji DT Boston College(9) 10. Malcolm Jenkins CB Ohio State 11. Andre Smith OT Alabama(6) 12. Percy Harvin WR Florida 19. Beanie Wells HB Ohio State 20. Brian Cushing OLB Southern California 21. Darrius Heyward-Bey WR Maryland(7) Wasn't knocking the pick. Just passing along info. We need a quick pass rusher, and if he's as quick as they say, great. Fills a glaring need and i'm cool with it.
/dev/null Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Hey, Orakpo will make too many Pro Bowls for us to afford him anyway. Yeah but Orakpo's sack numbers will be inflated. Remember, he gets to two games against Jason Peters
UConn James Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Great. Schobel can teach him his run up the field 15 yards past the QB and then attempt the Great Circle Route. Ain't that the truth, tho? I call it The Matador. And both Schoebel and Kelsay do it.
Bill from NYC Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Not who I wanted, but no complaints at all.
H2o Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I like Maybin... I think the guy is only 20 yrs old and yet he had 12 sacks last year.. Also, Buffalorumblings reported: "We're hearing that they'll be working the phones to try to move up... so stay tuned." If we throw away picks to move up we're REALLY SCREWED. These guys are retards.
dave mcbride Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 you dont roll the dice with the 11th pick especially a team like the Bills who are not one or two players away its not even close, QB is the worst position to try and figure out in the first round i hate this Um ... why is it any more of a roll of the dice than any other player? He's got great athleticism and produced at an extremely high level against big-time competition. The only reason he didn't play much the year before was because of the guy in front of him.
iommi Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Hate the system not the player. Let's get him in hear and give him a chance. I for one will be happy to not see not see Kelsay drifting around the field.
The Big Cat Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Ain't that the truth, tho? I call it getting matador'ed That was pre-stroud
The Dean Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I HATE THE BILLS' FO!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE WE JUST TOOK MAYBIN Yes, you should be very angry they didn't pick the player you wanted them to.
davefan66 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Did you see how fast the bills made that pick.....this was their guy all along I thank god it was not the fourth best left tackle.....for that I am greatful. We needed pass rush.....we got it. I am just wondering how our DE situation will play out now. Praying for Pettigrou to fall to 28 now.... O-line at 28 with TE addressed in 2nd even if they need to trade up as they missed by a few picks on most of the TE's last year.
The Dean Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Not who I wanted, but no complaints at all. Same here, Bill.
PushthePile Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I like Maybin... I think the guy is only 20 yrs old and yet he had 12 sacks last year.. Also, Buffalorumblings reported: "We're hearing that they'll be working the phones to try to move up... so stay tuned." Pettigrew would be awesome.

RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Not who I wanted, but no complaints at all. Thank you, Bill. The voice of reason. Who did you want, by the way?
Bill from NYC Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Yes, you should be very angry they didn't pick the player you wanted them to. I'm OK with this one, but I hope they sit tight for a while in terms of trading up.
Last Guy on the Bench Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 you dont roll the dice with the 11th pick especially a team like the Bills who are not one or two players away its not even close, QB is the worst position to try and figure out in the first round i hate this OK, I'll give you QB is harder to predict. But I think you either take a REALLY safe solid guy (e.g., Pettigrew) with the 11th pick, or you take someone who has an all-pro upside but a few question marks. I don't see that upside with Orakpo, and I think he's pretty risky too. But what the hell do I know? Maybe he'll be a hall of famer.
H2o Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Yes, you should be very angry they didn't pick the player you wanted them to. Yeah, they picked a DE who routinely gets handled by TE's in the running game
Virgil Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I really hope we use Maybin to disguise coverages by playing him at both DE and OLB.
TheMadCap Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Waaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaaa! B word, B word, B word, piss, moan, piss, moan.... Bills fans are such little girls sometimes. Maybin is going to be GREAT!
